And man made the bible, doesn't that mean the bible is imperfect?

It's easy to be agnostic when you have never heard the the truth. But, what you do with the truth once you have heard it, now that is something else.

God created man perfect. Man choose to go his own way. God honored that choice. But, in His mercy, God also provided the way back to Him.

The Bible, is Gods revelation of Himself, transcribed by men. God chooses to work through imperfect men.

But, it was God working through a perfect man, through His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, that ultimately gave back to man what he had lost when he choose to go his own way. He is the way and the truth and the life. Without Him, you are only killing time.

Peace

Man didn't "make" the Bible. God is the author of Sacred Scripture:
quote:

All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness... 2 Tim 3:16

God bless

Angustick12, Shalom, and welcome.

In a way you could be right. "IF" man had Authored the Bible, it would absolutely be imperfect, and down-right WRONG. Oh, there could be decent portions, as Jesus even gave us that credit, but still, in totality, mostly WRONG.

BUT, God, Authored the Bible, spoke every letter in the Torah, right down to the many jot's and tittle's. Man, Moses, had an important part, "following instructions." As imperfect as we are, Moses, and the other writers (not Authors) somehow managed to scribe God's words, perfectly. Hmmm, maybe the miracles of the quill/stylus.

If you look down, at the foot prints you see around your agnostic feet, you may still find some of my old prints, as I once fell into that wasteland. I was so busy judging God, for what I saw as His errors, it took me a while to realize the error wasn't His, Him being God, and all; but my error, me being mortal, dumb, sinful, and all. Then I looked 'up' from my own feet (as, I pray, you also will), and guess who stood in front of me, sweeping the serious stumbling blocks out of my path: Yes-sir, there Jesus was, scoop, and crane moving those great boulders of sin punishment out of my way, until I would 'look-up,' and beg His forgiveness.

I looked up, right into His loving eyes, and I suddenly found myself back on the path that I had abandoned early on. I have been singing Praises to Jesus/God, ever since, as will you, if you will stop blaming, and start believing: HIM.

If you want to see your potential future Love, take up a Hymnal, and read the words, no music, just the heart of the words. The words, will show you all of your future footsteps. Those same words will also show you what you will miss out on, should you meet your mortal end, before you find His eyes, and Love. Ponder, please.

In Messiah, His love for you still shines. Arley

PS: God made Adam perfect. Man had to choose to be imperfect.
