Plus, I loved how our heroes went to the National Air & Space Museum in Virginia, then busted outside to suddenly find themselves in a place that was obviously Southern California or Nevada - because rural Virginia is so well known for its desert terrain. Gotta love that continuity.

I read a review that called this movie "robot porn". I am definitely NOT taking my son to see it.

I think your son is close in age to one of my boys and had I seen it before taking them, I wouldn't have taken them. I wouldn't say "robot porn" but there were definitely a few inappropriate places in the movie. One scene (and you should ask WWH2 about this one) the whole theatre was like, "Oh! So didn't need to see that!" and one person was like, "My eyes! My eyes! They burn!"

"Transformers" Christa Banister should stick to writing what she knows about, not movies she has no interest in, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, began pretty much not long after it left off in the first movie, I sat in a movie theater that was almost full, a number of us went together or met at the theater, (over two weeks after it opened) we all came just to see this movie, yes, there were some crude remarks, sexual innuendo, mild language that I would not use (so, I would not take my thirteen year old daughter to see it), but the overall movie was enjoyable, some of the one liners even touched a chord from my past life, making me laugh at myself, although I do not agree with young ones using drugs or experimenting with physical contact before marriage, the drug induced spree by Sam’s mom and the aftermath of the heavy petting session with the Deceptacon with a long tongue were two of the funniest parts of the movie. The sequel did what it projected it would do, it was one step forward in time, it did not just need human connection to make it work, what it did need was what it gave, the loss of the aircraft carrier showed the tremendous loss of life signaled during a time of war, anyone who has ever been in and lived through an intense armed combat situation understands that for a movie to work in this situation, you must have many variables, for a start this type of combat is a hit miss affair, with the insanity of war foremost in the situation, in a combat situation you rely and count on those fighting beside you, not an audience watching, that is war. But, Christa’s idea that there was no human connection misses the point completely, what the movie did convey in human terms was, intense loyalty, love and duty (in this case, of and for beings that were not the same, from both sides, human and autobot). Bumble Bee indeed had such a connection with Sam, he felt intense pain at parting from him, Optimus Prime gave his very life to save Sam, even after being pushed aside and rejected by the government, the Autobots, although machines grieved for their fallen comrade, after Optimus was killed defending Sam, Sam indeed lamented his loss, all through this time Sam and Mikaela (Megan Fox) avoid the “L” word, trying to make a commitment to each other, but never getting there until very late in the movie, while looking for details about the power source that could help Optimus regain life, Sam comes across a Deceptacon that has changed sides (HE MADE A CHOICE TO DO THE RIGHT THING), sound familiar, every one of us must make that choice at least once an hour, day, week, month, during our Christian walk), during an intense battle, an extremist who in the first movie was humiliated, showed he not only did not hold a grudge, he was in fact a real life hero (no matter how gung-ho) he called down fire on his own position, his tongue-in-cheek scenes at times stole the show, giving the audience a good laugh, we must be able to laugh at ourselves after all, for everyone can see a little bit of themselves in these characters, even if past character traits, (we must NEVER forget who we were or how far we have come), Sam almost gave his life, trying to bring Optimus back to life, after doing so, Optimus states to Sam, “you came back for me”, then another Autobot (the Decepticon who changed sides no less), gives his very life (power source) so Optimus could continue and win the fight. The show is a good defeats evil movie, leaving the door open for another sequel (since Megatron got away) I will go and see the next one without hesitation. Christa liked Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, I found Night in the Museum 2, slow to get going, but likable after it got going, I would not pay to see it again, but Transformers, like the new Star Trek movie I would see again and again, after all I am a Sci-Fi fan.

I saw this on Saturday. I was really hoping for more of the story about the Transformers' past, but this wasn't addressed in much detail. I thought it had its funny moments and pretty cool action sequences. It did seem very chopped-up from an editing standpoint to me. Overall, it was disappointing when compared to the first movie. Also, is Megan Fox supposed to be really hot, or something? I can't say she is ugly, but I thought the over-focus on how "sexy" she is was ridiculous!

Overall it was okay, though not as good as the first one. A couple of my complaints: -The parents really weren't that funny, the 'humor' felt forced. I hope their screentime is reduced in TF3 -The roommate was near totally useless, hope they drop him in the next movie -No pants dropping scene next time please -If they do want to increase humans on screen next time; show more of NEST, they were pretty good. Tyrese and the lead guy (Josh Duhamel) did good

When the stepped out of the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum into the Arizona desert, I decided to just shut down my higher thought processes and focus on the action (and Megan Fox). Ergo, when they totally mucked up the geography of Egypt, Jordan and the Red Sea, I thought "sure, why not?"

It is annoying how she is so often billed as the hottest woman who ever lived. IMO, Megan Fox is semi-attractive, but no more than that.

It wasn't too bad. Lots of action, too much in fact I think. From beginning to end. I think it felt kinda long and dragged out though. It wasn't horrible just a good mindless action popcorn fun kind of flick.
