I'm no fan of the current system for sure. But I cannot support the idea of solving it with a new government run entitlement program.

But now, the government is cool again, as B Hussein Obama wanted it to be! Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, are kind, compassionate, and caring... no worries!

Again today I saw a CBO estimate that healthcare reform reduces the national debt by 130 Billion. How is this supposed to work?

I also noted the estimate that the "government option" will likely be more expensive than private insurance... why would anyone choose it then?

Something about all these ideas and estimates does not add up -- is it just me? Can anyone here advocating for this plan explain? (does anyone here advocate the plan?)

As Neal Boortz would say, "elections have consequences"

Because the government option will cover pre-existing medical conditions excluded by private insurers for a period of time.

Let's ask Daniel Webster:
"Good intentions will always be pleaded for any assumption of power. The Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters."
