ok, firstly hi guys, this is my first post, and the main reason i've joined this site... i need some wider thoughts or knowledge on the topic, and my friends and pastor/vicor/elder, cant seem to help.
Ok, i've been a christian for about 4-6 years now (although i lived in a christian family since i was 6 i only chose to follow christ myself when i was about 15).
anyway, since becoming a christian their have been 6 'episodes' which have occured where i have seen (what i believe to be) auras (i cant think of a better word)
heres a brief description of the most recent one before i continue
i was in a church service (not my usual church), about 60 people where attending and i was worshiping, my eyes closed, hands held high, and when the song had finished i opened my eyes, and everyone in the room, and i mean everyone, the leader, my friends, and the other members of the church, where all glowing/ radiating different colours, some colours reaching out further than others... i was instantly able to destinguish what 'most' the colours ment, to the extent that i went over to a stranger at the end of the service and asked them about their family life and their job (which i had 'read' was a troubling subject... thy revealed that their son was in hospital with lukemia and they where in trouble at work for taking too much time off sick to be with him, in a last ditch effort and hope he had came to church...
after/ toward the end of this i started to come down with a headache from what i believe to be an overload of infomation because this was the largest group of people i have ever had this happen around... (the previous 'episodes' occured in smaller groups of people, small groups etc) and only ever occure either at an important change in my life, around someone or something that will become a large part of my life, or when someone needs help but are too afraid to ask it.
unfortunatly i cant find anything in the bible... with the closest being 'prophecy' 'revelation' or 'dissernment'... but i cant work out if im right or not...
help/ thoughts anyone?

Well, I've never experienced something like this myself, nor have I personally met someone who it has happened to, so I can't really say for sure. But since you're not seeking after demonic or other ungodly powers to make this happen (I hope!), I certainly won't say there's anything unbiblical going on here.
Also, this is a bit off-topic, but why do you say 4-6 years? 2 years is a pretty wide gap, especially since it wasn't that long ago.

I may sound ignorant.... but, what are these auras and what is their significance? I've heard about such things but I always thought they were probably not godly things so I never digged deep into the topic.

Auras are energy fields that surround a person (and all other living things and some claim non-living as well) that some psychic people report to see. It's like a halo around their body and different colors can represent their personality, or even if they are ill.
The aura has been scientifically proven and photographed, but there are disagreements between scientists and psychics if the psychic person can actually see it and if by seeing it can discern the state of the person.
If this sounds far-fetched, then consider ancient artwork where Christ or angels are depicted with a halo or glow about their heads---- what gave them that idea? This person is also claiming to see them.

The only reference I can find in the Bible of bright lights (auras?) is at the Transfiguration (Matthew 17:1) when Jesus' face shone like the sun and his clothes became as white as the light.
I have heard of auras around people but I personally have never seen them nor know of anyone who has.
Perhaps T IJonny (Welcome to the Forums by the way) can give us some more details:
You say this is not the first time this happened. When it happened before was it also in prayer time? Did you see auras on all present or just some people? Did you get a message/feeling regarding all people or some of them?

This has nothing to do with auras. Please google auras and you will see the vast difference.

Coming down with a headache is troubling. That would not indicate that what you experienced is a 'gift' of the Holy Spirit. Again, I do think it would be helpful to you read that other thread where the topic has really been gone into..........

Well I would. The occult is forbidden to Christians. Seeing auras is not a gift of the Holy Spirit. Please google auras and see the difference. Thx
There is not one Scripture that speaks of auras or seeing auras or reading auras...the Transfiguration was not an aura any more than Moses' face shining when he came off the mountain. Moses was reflecting the radiance of God. Jesus shone because He is the Son of God.
