I went for a walk/run yesterday. I don't have a pedometer and I don't know how long my route was, but whatever I did, I did it for an hour or so. I'm working up to a 5 km run.

I was so energetic in the afternoon that when DH suggested we go for a walk, I wanted to walk so much faster than him that DH said I was like a puppy pulling at their leash.

Oh, and I did a lot of dancing when we went to see Israel & New Breed on Saturday.

40 minutes out of the way

This included 30 minutes on the exercise bike with weights(bicep curls, tricepts etc) and then "abs"

I did circuit training today. I do not like lifting but I know it is so important for overall fitness. I also needed to give my legs an extra day off. I ran 3 miles 3x last week and my legs told me all about it. I cannot wait until I can afford to buy a road bike. I am anxious to add biking to my fitness plan but right now is not that time to put out that kind of money. Can we say medical bills?

I did 30 mins running and weights. It was a good run and seems to be getting easier so I guess I need to increase my speed. The problem, I still hate every minute of it and continue to try and focus on something else. I keep hoping a light will turn on and running becomes my best friend. I guess I should shoot for a 10 minute mile.... and I'm not so far away.

Tomorrow I bike. I don't think I will push it like last time. Instead of a 2 hour hill laden route, I'll try an hour or so and increase my speed and compare it to the longer version.

I figure I need to do an hour of something each day and make it count then on the weekends, stretch it out and enjoy the outdoors.

I've been doing this for a year now and have made considerable changes in my workout. Today driving home from work I looked down where my big belly used to be and remembered how often I was sick of my belt cutting into me and always having to button that bottom button on my shirt because of my pot belly.

You know, it wouldn't take long to put it on if I stopped. I have now reached the point that if I go too many days without exercising, I get antsy and a little anxious.

I was finally able to get back to the gym today. M/W/F are my usual bike/weight days. Did close to 4 miles on the bike (level 3), and than did all my weight stuff (lots of machines, and some free weights).

Just back from a walk/run my legs did NOT like at all. I think it was closer to 5 km but I'm not sure; I'd have to map it. I was out for 45 mins so I suspect it was closer to 4 km (I'm just starting back at running again and I can't last long on the running segments). Discovered that it's much, much harder to run at midday in summer than I remember.

Still, I did it. I am determined to get back into running. Twice in one week is a good start. Next I'll have to figure out how long my routes are. Kinda tricky without a pedometer.

I ran 3 miles and shaved 12 seconds off my time. I lifted rather heavy yesterday. It is always hard to run the day after an intense liftu]ing workout. Sadly the man next to me changed treadmills because I eas on my last quarter mile and I sorta sounded like I was in labor.

An hour and half on my bike. I guesstimate 17 miles or so. It was a good workout but I'll never get used to cars whizzing by. I really wish I had a bike path or roads less travelled to do my bike rides. I ride the white line as far to the right as I can but I'm afraid one day I'll get clipped and biking days will be over. It seems that everyone is in a hurry and the biker is too slow and taking 5 inches of the road too much. And 99 percent are on stinking cell phones.

Got in an hour walk today; normally would have a more intense workout, but I met up with a friend for a walk at lunch.

I think I did something unfortunate to my back yesterday while lifting boxes. I would have been OK just lifting them but I was also walking across a floor covered in picture frames with them. It's just a muscle ache, but I'll take it easy on the back/core workouts for a couple of days.

I did NOT want to go to the gym today. I had to push myself SO hard to go. Some days are like that. Did 10 minutes on the bike today at level 4. Distance was 3.6 miles. Than did the weight machines, and free weights.

Just back from the gym. They changed the moves this week (I did a weights class) and let's just say my legs are not happy it came the same week I started getting back into running. I am continually in awe of the instructor. She's lifting twice as much as me and she's 4.5 mos pregnant. I hope I can keep up my routine when I'm in that position!

Had to laugh at the instructor; in the middle of an excruciating round of lunges she yelled "Keep your eye on the prize! Your legs are gonna look great!" LOL I tell myself to keep my eye on the prize all the time, but that's not my goal at all; mine is to be in better shape than I was last time I was pregnant. How my legs will look is actually rather secondary; what they can do with their increased strength is my priority. But hey, people who go into this with vain reasons could be doing worse by their bodies I guess.

I feel great this week. I went to my cardio dance class yesterday and even though I literally started this week with the walk/running, the class was much much easier than usual. Woohoo! No red face this time in dance class. That's a good sign.

What you did is better than nothing. You should be proud you did something. I'm not one to talk though. I'm my own worst critic.

Yeah. It's just that I've been trying, for almost two months now to kick it back up and do what I did that caused me to loose the weight. I've been slacking big time. But, I'm motivated just because I haven't given up

I went for a walk with hubby last night and I just ran for 30 min. We are going to a party, so I had to stop. I ran outside. Much harder than the treadmill. I want to do that at least once a week, as I want to do a 5K.

Off to two parties. :)

We are at the beach and took a long walk yesterday on the beach. Tough on my ankles but a very good workout.

Ran on the treadmill today in the fitness area and tried to figure out how to use the weight training machine.

I would love to live here. Ok! Just had lunch and taking son to the pool and will try to get a short beach walk in before we go pig out this evening.
