I've heard a little bit about this book, and that it's good. Has anyone read it? Would you recommend it? Why (or why not)?

I read this book and re-read this book. In fact, in the world of so many books, so little time, I rarely re-read anything. But I always find time to re-read this one every few years. Yes, what an allegory! I would highly recommend the adventures of Much Afraid, her troublesome family and the Shepherd who meets her every morning and starts her on her journey. Watch as she is transformed. It's a heart-warming story with great parallels to one's life if they will only see them. It's a short book, one well worth your time. Enjoy!

Very good. Definitely worth reading. . . and rereading. She also has a second called Mountains of Spices which is also good. And Hannah Hurnard's autobiography (or is it a biography?) called A Hearing Heart is also very worthwhile.

This book is amazing -- and very good for people who don't read a lot of books, too. (At least this is what I have observed). The sequel, "Mountains of Spices", I liked even better sometimes, though it had slower pacing overall which made a few of the chapters chore-ish. But "Hind's Feet" is really wonderful. :) I've learned a lot from reading parts of other Hannah Hurnard books, too. I will have to read all of her stuff, probably. ;)

I really love this book. It has ministered to me so many times. I turn to it in the hard times, and God has used it to help me to understand and continue to put one foot in front of the other in those times I want to just be let off the ship. I find the more I read it the more I uncovered God's truth as I go to the scriptures that back up the allegory. The book drives me deeper into His word as I walk through the tough circumstances in my life. I have been amazed how as I open the book in complete loss, He directs me exactly to the words I needed in that ,moment, and then to the scriptures I need to be reminded of as I continue to walk with Him.
