Two Palestinians were lightly injured.
The settlers were protesting the army's removal of an unauthorized settlement outpost in the area....
Daglas says Israeli forces tried to stop the rampaging settlers. Israel's paramilitary border police force says it arrested one settler. (see link for full article)
This was wrong by the Israeli settlers. I hope the peace process between Israel and Palestine goes more rapidly. It is too bad the the issue of settlements has one of the primary roadblocks. ....This was true even when Jimmy Carter negotiated the Israeli-Egyptian peace back in the late 70's. Settlements had to be given up by Israel then, before they agreed to peace with their neighbor. While the settlement issue is touchy, I am saddened of the news these Israeli settlers resorted to chaos/violence in their protests.
