I'm having a women's get together at my house on Saturday. It's an informal get together. What could I serve that would be easy and inexpensive? Also, this is a pool party, but what if it rains? What fun things could we do?

I dunno if you have a Sam's or Costco near you, but they have very affordable and easy hors d'ourvres that are heat-n-serve or right out of the box.
How many women have rsvp'd to come? Were you going to "hang out" in/out of the pool and that'd be it? If it rains, is your women's group a crafty one? Kids? Commonalities?

I was thinking that, too. We did that over a friend's house when it rained. She also brought out her collection of manicure and pedicure tools and polishes and we had a great time painting, laughing and watching a movie.

We had a ladies sleepover and we played a few drinking games, watched click flicks , did each others nails and a couple went on a coffee spree to Starbucks the next morning.
You might want to look into interactive boardgames too like SceneIt, Boxers or Briefs, or Taboo. They're all pretty fun.

I vote for Jane Austen movies over chick flicks. The A&E versions are too long to watch with guys around (unless they're oddballs who actually like literary adaptations).
And definitely vote for manicures! Tell everybody to bring a bottle of nail polish if it rains.
If I were hosting something like that, in addition to some of the hors-d'oeuvres options, I'd have a fruit tray or two; they're easy enough to put together yourself. Top-your-own pizzas made with greek pitas are a fun option too (not just for kids IMO!)

I always greet my guests with a beverage. Alcohol: icy cold sparkling wine with a slice of peach or a strawberry in a pretty glass Non-alcoholic: same condiments as above with sparkling fruit juice like catawba juice, a Kristian Regale brand or sparkling water
