Here it is:
If you were to stand before God today, and He were to ask you, "Why should I let you into My Kingdom?", what would you say?
God bless,

I voted "Other." I would say, "Because I love you, Lord."

How would we differentiate options 3 and 4?

Father, because you sent Jesus to save me from my sins and I have been living in your kingdom upon earth and your Spirit has lived in me. I am yours because your Son purchased my salvation with his own blood and I owe all I am to Him.

I don't "deserve" eternal paradise, nor do I "deserve" eternal misery. If in the end it really does come down to such a simplistic dichotomy, I guess I'd tell God Almighty "It's entirely up to you."

Random question: Did you get this question from SkitGuys? It's almost word for word what was said in one of their skits online. Just curious.

Oh, and I voted "other". We are saved because Christ saves us. And Christ would have chosen to leave me in my reprobate state had I not "repented of my sins and accepted Christ as Lord." But regardless of what I "do", Christ and Christ alone saves me because I have no ability in and of myself to save myself. He receives all credit. Therefore, I chose "other".

Greetings,

I choose other... because if we are standing before God then He would not be asking Why should I let you into My Kingdom ... if one finds themselves standing before God ...one is at the wrong judgment!

You mean the book that says that everyone deserves to go to hell because Adam ate a fruit that God put in the garden knowing that he would eat it? The book that says that there are no good people, when what it actually means by that is that there are no perfect people? And that our imperfection, despite being wholly unavoidable by humans, incurs God's wrath?

Yup, that Book!

The Book that tells us that every single person sins because they choose to sin, not because something forces them to, and therefore fall short of God's perfection.

Yes, that Book, my friend.

Except that it's literally impossible for humans to be perfect. It just is not within our capacity. So why do people figure the Big Guy is so ticked off about it?

Who says it's not possible? The Bible tells us that if we are led by the Spirit, we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. With the power of Christ after Salvation, there is nothing forcing you to sin.

But that is neither here nor there. You need to know the truth of the Love of God before you can wrap your head around the spiritual and philosophical intricacies of God's creation. Before you can mentally accept all that God has allowed, you must first understand His love and desire to save you...but He can't save you if you don't believe you need to be saved.

As mentally apt as you think you are (I've been there), there is more to life than the 80 years you will live. You KNOW that. It says so in John 1. I know the Lord has shown you the truth, or you would not be posting on this site. What I pray for is that you see the love of Christ amidst all of the pain and suffering in this world.

In Christ,
ZG

Do you think it's ever happened? Has there ever been a person who went from their first day to their last living a perfect life?

I could care less if someone else has done that. And honestly, there's no way of me knowing! All I know is what God has told me.

We can get into the age-long debate concerning the age of accountability of a child...but God has told us in Rom 3:23 "All have sinned."

I don't personally care about whether or not other people are sinning. I know that I PERSONALLY have sinned, and that's all I PERSONALLY am concerned about.

Do you believe YOU'VE ever done wrong? If so, God says you need to be saved! And He also says that once you are saved from death, death and sin no longer reign in your body. And if you choose to allow the Holy Spirit to lead, you do not have to sin anymore. It's what God calls a "new creature/creation".

But you must first believe, because YOU PERSONALLY have done wrong, correct?

I understand your posts better than you think, my friend. I wasn't implying at all that I believed you thought you were perfect.

My only point is to not be caught up with whats going on around you. You know that YOU personally are a bad individual. Just one sin, and you fall short of God's perfection. All it takes is one, and you know that you have at least done wrong ONCE. You also know that you have a conscience that has no humanistic explanation whatsoever! You have the knowledge of truth, of the truth of Christ. This is proven in John 1. I pray that you accept this truth, and that you see the love of God all around you.

Why am I a bad individual? Because I'm not perfect like God? I'm not designed to be perfect like God, no one is. It's just not humanly possible. And this imperfection, which is inevitable, is supposedly what makes me "deserve" eternal suffering? That's silly. I stand by what I said earlier, I "deserve" neither eternal bliss nor eternal misery. So the OP question, Why "should" God allow me, or anyone, into eternal paradise, isn't answerable. Which is why I said in that scenario I'd just say "It's up to you."
