Hello friends,
I've just learned about an 8 yo boy from Reynoldsburg, OH who has osteosarcoma, stage four. He was diagnosed mid-August and needs our prayers. Please pray for him and his family.

Lord, please do mighty things for young Sam, conquering the cancer and giving peace to him and his family in their innermost parts. I pray the heart of Psalm 91 for Sam...and Psalm 63 for his family. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Allisonbrett, I thank You for sharing Sam's story with us and seeking prayers on his behalf. I read his story. I will absolutely lift this young child up in my prayers. I will stay committed with you in prayer for Sam.
Father, You know Sam's story. Please hear our prayers for him. Only You know the plans You have for Sam. I am joining the others in asking for Your divine intervention. I ask for a total healing for his knee and both lungs. You have the divine power to take and rid this child from the cancer that is plaquing his body. I ask that You do so. Please, Lord, if it be in accordance to Thy will, take this disease and cast it out of Sam. May he grow up healthy and cancer free. May everybody who knows Sam be comforted by Your holy spirit during this time. May they see You working in Sam's life and trust that You are in control and know what is the very best for Sam. I ask this prayer, believing that You hear this and the many other prayers being asked for this little boy. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and Savior. Amen

Dear Father, you know how much Sam has been on my mind and in my prayers. I am thankful that our sister in Christ brought this prayer request to our p/p. I pray that you hear our prayers for young Sam. He so needs You to intervene. I pray for his parents. No parent should have to deal with their child being diagnosed with cancer, much less it is already stage four. Please guide the doctors to the best possible treatment for Sam. I lift this child's name to You, knowing that You know the plans you have for Sam. I pray a total healing is Your plan for this young life. Please allow him to grow up and be a testimony to Your mercy and grace. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen

My thoughts and prayers continue on for Sam and his family. Father, we know that you are in control of all things. Please hear our prayers for this child. Wrap Your everloving arms around this child and calm any fears, take away any pain, that he may be experiencing. Let Your peace and joy flow through him in spite of his circumstances. If it be Thy will, I pray that a total healing will take place. You know the plans that You have for Sam and You know what is best. We are trusting in You today. In the name of Jesus, Amen

This is what I received earlier about Sam.
Background Story
Our son Sam is a wonderful young man who is 8 years old.
He will be 9 in January. He is going into the 3rd grade in Reynoldsburg , Ohio . Sam had been having some pain in his right knee most of this summer (2009).
As the pain increased we realized that something might be wrong and we made an appointment for him to see an Orthopedist on 8/10/09. At this doctors appointment an X-ray was done of Sam's leg/knee and it showed that there was a mass that the doctor believed to be cancerous.
Samuel went into the hospital just a few days later for a series of tests. He received a cat scan, MRI, and also a full body scan.
Our family met with the pediatric oncologist the following day and Samuel was diagnosed with a type of cancer called Osteosarcoma (stage 4). The cancer is in his right knee and it has also spread to both of his lungs. This is an aggressive type of cancer and it will be treated with aggressive forms of chemo.
We are asking everyone to please lift up our little boy Samuel Gordon Bish in prayer. We pray for healing!! We serve a mighty God and we know that HE can,heal Sam if that is his will for Sam's life.
Please be prayer warriors along with our family as Sam starts this very difficult journey in his young life.
Today's date is August 16th, 2009 and all this has happened in 6 days.
His first appointment was on Monday the 10th and by Friday the 14th he was in the hospital getting his Chemo-port put in his chest and a biopsy done.
I figured if an animated woman walking around the world for cancer can get passed to millions, then so can this story.
PLEASE KEEP THIS GOING TO YOUR CONTACTS IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK!
SAM CAN NEVER GET ENOUGH PRAYERS.
WE PRAY FOR HEALING AND PEACE FOR HIS FAMILY. . .There are also 2 younger sisters.
Dear God,
Please heal Sam completely and show this Miracle.
Please Bless everyone that knows Sam and knows of Sam to lean more on You for their strength.
Please surround them with family and friends that encourages their growth toward you.
Please let their Presence touch all that is seeking You and to those that aren't yet aware of You waiting.
Please Dear God,
Let him find comfort in knowing You are there with him.
Please ease his worrys about leaving his loved ones behind.
Please send in the Angels that are needing to be there helping Sam's loved ones through this period of his young life.
Thank you God for loaning him if only for a short time.

Heavenly Father I continue to lift Sam up to God the Most High with my brothers and Sisters. Father you are our God and you supply all our needs. My prayer is simple Father heal this little man and bring all the comfort and love to his mum and dad and all his love one and friends.

O Lord our God, there is none like You. You are holy and sovereign and all things are in Your hands. We thank You for the life of Christ, given so that we who deserve nothing are granted an inheritance in Your kingdom, everlasting life with You. Thank You Jesus for taking my place on the cross, for bearing my sins tearing the veil that once blocked our presence with God. We are not worthy of Your love and mercy, we have earned no place in Your throne room. Forgive us for any unconfessed sin we harbor in our lives Lord - show us where we fall short and give us swiftness and strength to flee the devil's temptations and keep our eyes on You. Forgive our pride, crass language, outbursts of anger, hopelessness, judgment of others, foolishness, stinginess, greed, lust, bitterness, gossip and/or any other sin any of us carries in our hearts this morning. Cleanse us O Lord, by the blood of our Savior, pour out Your mercy and forgiveness. Thank You for the invitation to meet You in Your throne room on behalf of little Sam. How our hearts break to think of what he and his family are facing. Be glorified in this family as they encounter medical people, friends, family and watchers around the world.
