lol. Thanks!!!

I was almost born on my cousins birthday...the 28th. My mom went into labor at her first birthday party, but told herself she couldn't have me that day, so she went out of labor and the next day went back in labor and had me. I was born 11 minutes after she walked in the hospital doors. My dad drove like a mad man and even made an exit to get her there in time...lol

Wow, I thought I was fast when Linz came 20 minutes later. I'd be freaking at 11!!!

Wow! With my oldest (who turned 24 on Aug. 26) we drove into the hospital parking lot at 4:45 a.m. and I had him at 5:16 a.m.
I thought I cut it close.

LOL. AND in that 11 minutes, some freak decided she needed the epidural. They barely got her in the bed, put the needle in, then I was born. Of course the drugs had not hit yet, it was less then 2 minutes...lol. However, afterward, she couldn't move her legs.

This month is my sons' birthday (the 10th) and Ricks (the 19th).

I had my oldest daughter 15 minutes after I got to the hospital.
We lived 40 miles away from where I doctored and my MIL, sister in law, husband and I were crammed into MIL car driving like crazy to get there! We got pulled over by an OK Highway Patrol doing 90, my sister in law jumped out of the car, ran back to him screaming SHE'S HAVING A BABY!
He ran up to the car, saw me in the backseat, ran back to his car and gave us an escort the remaining 20 miles.
I started pushing about 5 minutes away from hospital and my MIL was yelling back at me "Don't you have that baby all over my leather seats!"
I wanted to choke her at the time, but looking back it was rather comical.

Just keep plodding along, Harvie. You'll get there.

Some of you were talking about doing surveys. Do you find that if you do online surveys, you get a lot of spam in your inbox? I'd be too scared to do something like that for the likelihood of being spammed or knocked out by viruses etc.

You'll get there. If there wasn't a nightly purge, I would have way more posts. I don't think I lost any last night though.

My 17th anniversary is this month - WOW - I can still hardly believe it! For those of you who know my testimony, it's an even bigger WOW!!!

I had my 3rd baby just a few minutes after walking through the doors of the hospital. I went into my OB/GYN's office for a checkup that morning and the baby was crowning already. My water hadn't broken, so he sent me down the street to the hospital.

I walked in, taking my clothes off as I walked down the hall (kind of embarrassed about this now, but at the moment, I just wanted to get into that room!), went into a room close to the door, didn't even get a gown on, got up on the bed, pushed two times and there he was, all 11 POUNDS of him! I think if we had waited 30 seconds more in the car, he would have been born there.

WOW! That's quick!

Not something I'll ever experience. (I can't have kids), but I let those of you who can have all the fun. My pain threshold is pretty low now anyway, so in one way, it's just as well.

I am all about the epidural Trish!!!! My labors are never that fast...well, until Justice. He was less then 4 hours. The others were much more. I was in labor more at home with my first before getting to the hospital then my mom was total with all three kids combined...lol. He was 25 hours of excruciating back labor. Hannah Emma and Jack were 8-10 hours each, and Justice was just under 4.

I still say 'ouch'!

I agree with you about epidurals though. I was put on a pain study years ago when I was in hospital having the twins. (We nicknamed the two 1'x1' each ovarian cysts the 'twins'. They weighed over 50lbs). I was given an epidural for pain relief and I was so happy with it.
