My two year old was having a rousing match of T-Rex versus the Jumbo Jet at the table this morning when my 9 month old bonked her head and started to cry. As I was trying to comfort her, my son volunteered his T-Rex so that his sister would feel better.

Now, that's love for you.

I had mentioned this in a PFY earlier this week but it was too cute not to share here.

The Things and I were watching Earth (the Disney movie) and it looked like one of the animals wasn't going to make it. I was extremely upset by this and Thing 2 finally said, "I'm sure he's fine, Mum. The camera crew probably went back and gave him some food so he could get back to his family." and Thing 1 was like, "What!? They don't do-OUCH!" and Thing 2 whispers (not very well), "I know that! I'm trying to make Mum feel better so shut up!"

I have to brag on my oldest.

He is so sweet and sensitive. Last week I had blood drawn, and had to take the kids with me. When he saw that needle, he reached his hand out, grabbed mine, and said "Be brave mama!" He has been really amazingly sensitive to all the trauma that has been going on for me this past week. Praying for me, and asking questions to make sure that I'm OK. Bringing me little gifts that he thinks will make me feel better.

This past week, our whole family got hit really hard with the H1N1 flu bug.. My daughter Jules knew I was feeling horrible and was having a hard time sleeping due to nasty coughing fits, so she gave me her favourite teddy bear and said " Here Momma.. this'll make you better" then other daughter Lauren, who's just as sick, went to the kitchen and brought me some water..

I've got great kids!!

My son (11) was at boarding school for the first time in his life and came home for a week last week. Every morning he was sitting on my bed at 8 with a glass of orange juice and cereal ready for a kiss and a hug. I also received a letter from his school saying that not only was he the most popular boy in his class (he had problems at his last school) but that he had got the best geography mark in his year.
My youngest son said his first polite, sensicle sentence, peese can I have dat. He first said, I want that, but I told him to say Please can I have that and he did. His twin sister has been talking in sentences for a while now.
My eldest daughter (9) was kissed (on the cheek) for the first time and her response was "eww" and she ran and told her friends, who all said "eww". I am so proud!
