ORIGINAL: tafkam C'mon, guys, four pages in and you haven't even covered the most obvious bases in this theatre of the absurd. So leet's dispense with a few things right off... Micheal W. Smith uses runic letters on his album covers, so he's involved in the occult. KISS stands for Knights In Satan's Service. Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart are lesbian lovers. Amy Grant flashed the devil horn sign during one concert, so she's on a fast train south as well. KISS covered a Petra song (actually it was an Argent tune), but it doesn't matter, cause they're all on the dark side. Point Of Grace are occultic because they covered Earth, Wind, & Fire's tune "Sing A Song". C'mon, what's your favorite anti-rock cliche'? AC/DC stands for Anti-Christ/Devil's Child Which begs the question. What ever happened to the PMRC? The PMRC got what they wanted when warning labels got put onto albums and cassettes (now CD's) AC/DC said that they got their name from the back of a vacuum cleaner. I also heard it said that AC/DC stood for that they went both ways as well, but that is obviously not true though. quote:
ORIGINAL: holyrokker Does anybody ever wonder what style of music David played? He played heavy metal too, well according to Psalm 150 anyway. quote:
ORIGINAL: RHardin15 Michael W. Smith had an upsidedown cross on one of his albums, (and since he's such a blatently satanist rock artist) it is straight from the devil. And Steve Taylor's "I Predict 1990" had a tarot card on it as well. quote:
ORIGINAL: JoeyWest why you guys feeding the anti rock people. wonder what sublimal messages are in Christian rock. Skillet is decent but hardly the best. so many that pioneered the genre are better least imho. Now I heard that Petra has backwards masking on their "More Power To Ya" album. I just might have to play that one backwards, lol!

I have to admit, I occasionally enjoy persing the more rabid anti-rock sites.....all the bands they warn against ceased to be commerically viable decades ago..... Careful, don't let your kids hear the new Crue album!

Careful, the Crue are still out there!!! Actually the reason I hardly listen to any Christian music is on the whole they are trend-followers, not trend-setters. So they tend to be not-as-good versions of whatever is popular. Stryper were one of the few acts that managed to compete in their day, and Amy Grant had her moment up there as well. These days, there are a lot of singer-songwriters, but none really interest me too much.
