A Seaworld Commercial says: quote:
I believe there are still mysteries in the world. And wonders. And surprises. . . .I believe that when you celebrate life, and creatures big and small, you discover connections That stay with us… forever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dLPN7yLXA8 As a person who is strongly pro-life, I do many things in an attempt to forward the idea of preserving the lives of children, looking for opportunities to just "say something." Tuesday 20 October will be an opportunity to "just say nothing." People are buying/making shirts, hats, armbands, handouts, and signs in order to join in this effort to emphasize the fact that many tiny people will never have a voice because of abortion. See http://www.silentday.org/. Many see such actions as without value. I suggest that inaction says clearly where we really stand on the issue. If you do care about these little voteless, voiceless people, who live and who feel pain, yet are obliterated, massacred, often for the sake of convenience, just do something. Please! - Volunteer at your local shelter for pregnancies at risk
- Support and educate someone you know who is having a troubling pregnancy
- Write a check to your local right-to-life organization
- Write a check to a national right-to-life organization
- Organize your friends to join in on Pro-life Day of Silent Solidarity
- Offer your home for the care of foster children
- Adopt a child
This thread is not open to debate of any kind. It is a place where you may agree to do something for unborn children.

Thanks you for the post, as a person who is strongly pro-life, and the Pastor of a Chruch that is strongly pro-life; we are always looking for avenues to further the cause of saving the pre-born children. Thanks RC

Thanx Covaan_Meshuga for this post. May I suggest we don't turn this Thread as a debating point; but a place to sign our agreement with you. God bless.

Thank you, both of you. I have changed the opening post in order to accommodate your suggestion, Mvic.

Great! I need to do more than I have been doing. Perhaps just seeing others want to will help spur me on.

I'm all on working for the unborn. But the only thing silence does is give the enemy the whole stage and freedom to talk uninterrupted. I'll continue talking. (Honestly, can anyone imagine me not saying anything? )

This day is coming up soon. This Tuesday, I hope to be able to go down with a group I just heard about who pray near PPh "clinics." (It seems odd to call them clinics when two (at least ) persons go in and only one comes out alive.) I want to learn what they do and make an informed decision about what I will do. I have never done anything like this before . . . .

20 October 2009 is the day to do something about the aborted children. Be silent. Shout out loudly against it. Pray at an abortion "clinic." Give hope. 8 days left to pray and to prepare.

It happens to be my day off from work, but I need to go buy tires. That will be interesting! I wish I had bought more "Little Feet" for the day. Information cards will have to do.

Well, it has been in interesting day. I hadn't realized how much speech is required in order to get through a day. I made 1/4-sheets of paper with a photo of my daughter and son when they were 2 and 5 with my story on it: quote:
I lived just south of New York City where abortion was legal in 1970. As a 22-year-old from an abusive home, I was upset over my pregnancy. A neighbor reminded me that a short bus trip north would rid me of “my problem,” and my husband need not know. Upon hearing her words, fortunately, I saw through them. I responded, “I could not do that to my baby!” Suddenly, she was not “my problem”; she was “my baby”! When my daughter was born, I was astounded at her beauty, and she proved to be a great gift. Now age 38, she is a wife, a mother of three, and still beautiful inside and out as she was on her birth day – a wonderful woman, well loved by those who meet her. Our son was born two years, almost to the day, after abortion was made legal in our nation – again an unexpected pregnancy. But my experience with my daughter had taught me that children are to be loved, guarded, protected, and desired. He was loved and desired from the first moment I knew he existed. He, too, proved to be a precious gift, one I could not imagine being without. Now age 34, he is a man of whom I am proud – handsome, a husband, father of three, with a wild sense of humor like his father’s. I thank G-d daily that these wonderful people survived the rush to abort. I know, from experience, that every child is a gift from Him. On the other side was something I took from the web site, but I changed it for my purpose: quote:
Today, October 20, is the Pro-life Day of Solidarity to point out the plight of innocent, voiceless, voteless children. Since January 22, 1973 over 50,000,000 babies have had their voices silenced through surgical abortion in this nation alone. Over 4,000 children have their lives taken each day in the name of choice. Over 4,000 women and men are emotionally damaged every day. Every day in the United States of America over 4,000 American citizens are silenced against their wills. They have their voices permanently silenced and they never get the opportunity to speak on behalf of themselves. Today we stand in silent solidarity with those who have been silenced. Today we are silent, but by doing this we are being a voice for the one-third of our generation that will never have a voice. These victims are not only being silenced; they are being killed. The victims we stand on behalf of are not going to be mentioned on the news. The victims we stand on behalf of will not have funerals. The victims we stand on behalf of were ripped from the safety and warmth of their mothers’ wombs. The victims we stand on behalf of were not blobs of tissue, but beautiful human persons, with hearts that beat, brains that gave out brain waves, and a soul. These are the victims of the abortion holocaust. Every day over 4,000 babies have their lives ended in the name of choice. Since January 22, 1973, over 46 million babies have died. The time is now to stand on behalf of these innocent victims. Visit www.standtrue.com to find out how to be a voice. I did a little shopping, went to the bank, shopped for tires, went out to lunch, visited my daughter at her work, and stood outside Planned Parenthood and prayed with people who were there for the same purpose. It was a good day, until it settled in: that I had stood outside Planned Parenthood while they murdered babies, for that is what abortion is.
