We are having a Fall Family Event at the end of the month. Not so much an " outreach" as just a fun event for our kids. They, of course, will be encouraged to invite friends but that isn't the main focus.
We are not an "anti-Halloween" church, 99% of our kids will Trick or Treat the next day. So this isn't a "Halloween Alternative"-type of thing.
We need a name! Any suggestions? We want something that would appeal to grade school kids.

Heh, heh...
OK, seriously... hmm... *scratchin' head*
Fall Block Party... meh, kinda boring.
Could play on your town/city's name... like... here we have lots of towns and neighborhoods with -boro as suffixes, so Big Boogie in the 'Boro. But... that sounds like snot. Urm. Not what I had in mind.
Autumnal Awesomeness (or is that incredibly lame-o?)
Since grade-school kids can't drive themselves there, I think the name's resonating with them matters less than its resonating with the parents. I agree with sharon -- what activities are you offering? That (and free candy) is what's gonna draw in the kids.
If parents tell the kids that there will be fun stuff for them (and free candy), then the kids will likely want to go, no matter what you call it.

Fabulous, Fun, Funky, Fall Festival or something catchy to remember it might help. Our church does a Trunk or Treat each year and a former church does a Fall Festival each year with games, food, prizes, etc. The only thing is they restrict "scary" costumes but still kids show up in everything imaginable. It's supposed to be a Halloween alternative.
They do many of the old carnival type games: fishing for prizes, bowling for candy, bean bag toss, and other things. They also have the blow up amusements they rent each year. The huge inflatiable slides, jumping things, pony rides, hourly drawings for prizes. This encourages everyone to register so they have contact info for possible visitation. They also have free popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones and sell hot dogs, hambugers, and drinks to get the parents. It's become a HUGE success and crowds attend in mass! Everything comes to them by donation and lots of volunteers. The church asks members to bring in bag candy for the kiddie games.
