Well there's your incivility then.

No name-calling, no personal attacks. I guess if seeing things differently is incivil, no one is going to be civil to everyone else. Have a good day.

That'd be Letterman's incivility. Everyone on the same page yet?

I think what struck me most about this was the brazenness of Letterman's announcement on his show.

I think he did the only thing that could take power away from the accused extortioner. (I don't think that's a word.) For that, I think it was the right thing to do.

I think one thing celebs have learned is that the public is more forgiving if you fess up rather than cover-up. It's also usually cheaper than paying an extortionist.

His wife and mother of his son is divorcing David. Somebody should have saw that coming. Naturally she is going to divorce him. She is young, he is old and unreliable and he is going to pay and pay and pay. What she needs is the Muhammad Ali of divorce lawyers. Kind of sad really.

Just goes to show that there is a price to be paid for "indiscretions." I don't feel a bit sorry for him. I hope she cleans him out.

I believe that only occurs with liberal celebs. Conservatives get a different standard , otherwise known as excoriation to the nth degree.

Conservatives get torched because of the degree of hypocrisy at play. Not many people would describe Letterman as a "Family Values" guy.

Other than stating the fact that he is married (at least for now) and has a child, I haven't seen any such statements.
