I will improvise now because fresh ispiration by little pets and little kids interactions with their caregivers...

1 2 3...now...

Oh little one, come here to Mama..
Ting ting and tang tang...
Ting ting and tang tang...

Oh little one, ting ting...
Sunshining in bright steps
Rest in my lap...

Oh little one, tang tang...
Before we zzzz
We sing our melody...

Ting ting, tang tang!

Okay, so here goes . . . A bit of encouragement for singles (and married lurkers too).

You Are Not

You are not forgotten by Me,
Not in all our tears, nor doubts and fears,
You are not,
Not forgotten by Me

Look up and cry and I will hear,
Come closer to me and I will draw near,

You are not
Not forgotten by Me,
Not when I hold you, not when I know you

Forever, for life
For hope--for free,
No, not ever
Not forgotten by Me.

I Know SHe's Waiting for me

1st verse

The days go by untangled, she's not yet heaven sent
exisiting in a convoluted state that looks content
free of all exorbitant and unrelenting pains
that only hearts that fall apart and sumersault can claim
I fluctuate between the worlds of peacufulness and rain
feeling that my future hope of romance lies in vain

There's still a gentle voice that whispers up above the dim
The timing of the Lord is perfect, Blessed are all who wait for him

Chorus

Even though my eyes of human weakness
often fail to see
that the Lord of all the Earth and sky
has a perfect plan for me
though the details of my life
are nothing like I thought they'd be
There's a certain truth that permeates
the deepest part of me
I know deep down---way down in my heart
I know she's waiting for me

Blessed is the Woman who has~

A Smile in her voice,

A Sparkle in her eyes,

A Song on her lips,

A Spring in her step,

A Warmth to her touch,

A Depth to her beauty,

A Purpose for her life,

A Joy in her faith,

A Hope in her breast and

A Love in her heart.

Poem from Todays Devotionals

Things that once were wild alarms
cannot now disturb my rest;
Closed in everlasting arms,
Pillowed on His loving breast.
Oh, to lie forever here,
Doubt, and care, and self resign,
While He whispers in my ear,
I am His and He is mine.

A MOTHER'S LOVE

A Mother's love is something
that no on can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away . . .
It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking . . .
It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems . . .
It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation . . .
A many splendoured miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God's tender guiding hand.

~Helen Steiner Rice~

Happy Mothers Day!

Ok, i'll share. I wrote this not long after my Grandpa passed away. Today is the 8th anniversary of it.

The Day the Whippoorwill Cried

On that sad and gloomy day
The whippoorwill sang its last.
It cried each tear of sorrow
As memories flooded in from the past.

The sweet smell of roses,
Shooting stars in the sky
Who would ever wonder
Why this man should ever die

Tear stains on every pillow
The sadness began to start
As the day the whippoorwill cried
Is remembered in every heart.

......... there once was a guy named IWillFearNoEvil...

He kept everyone in an upheaval...

Talking cheesecake all day...

Always wanting to play...

Never letting on that he was really a weevil....

Hello all. I'm new to this forum and I don't really know where to start until I saw this thread that started almost 3 years ago, wow. Very good poems!!! I've written a few poems myself, and so I thought I would share a couple of them here...

IT IS A GIFT

For a time so long
My prayers have been
For God to bring along
Someone who's heart is like Him

A woman as I am
Created to be a help meet
To one day serve my "Adam"
My heart with him to beat

But I have forgotten
God is the God of all
Each one has been given
To live a special call

There are some meant to be
To pledge a lifetime marriage vow
But some are meant to keep
For the Lord her body & soul

God's Word says it is blessed
To serve God fully and wholly
Not needing to have a husband
Keeping her body and spirit holy

Thank God for His rebuke
Reminded me again to trust
To obey what's in His Book
It is the only must

Knowing I'm no lesser than
One who cherishes a ring
Around a finger in her hand
I still have a song to sing

A song to praise my God
Thanksgiving to Him I lift
It is only Him I have
But oh 'tis the most precious gift

MY HEART WILL WAIT

I'm sitting here today
Hearing it again pounding
It's always been this way
Leaving me always pondering

The beats are now familiar
This feeling I could tell
The ache no longer peculiar
This emotion I know very well

It's the same longing
I've had for so long
It's my heart crying
For someone to belong

What do I do?
I often ask
Do I stay blue
Or put on a mask?

And so I turned
Again to the One
From Him I learned
Battles could be won

He said to me
"Keep your faith
One day you'll see
Just pray and wait"

What's more to do
Than to trust Him more
His promises true
Soon He'll open the door

I'm sitting here today
Uncertain of my fate
It's always been this way
But still my heart will wait

......... welcome Joelle!!!

Good stuff.... don't by shy.... just pop in and post anywhere....

Pretend like you belong here.... you do!

The more you post... the more people will see and remember your handle.... the more we all will get to know you!

Someone once told me that once you hit around 50-80 posts.... people start remembering who you are.... I tend to agree....

AlwaysR8chel? Man, there's just something familiar about that. Have we met?

Poems....

I'll have to think about it and get back with ya...I've got one that probably would be deleted because it's so horribly honest....

The Man They Call Jesus
By: Syd

I’m gonna tell you a story,
That’s not at all absurd.
It’s about a man they call Jesus,
And his Holy Word.

He performed amazing miracles.
Walked upon land and sea.
Jesus wants everyone to be a Christian,
Yeah, even you and me.

To become a follower of Jesus,
You must confess your sins.
Now if you truly believe in the Lord,
You will be born again.

This opportunity you have taken
Is a wonderful and life changing choice,
For on that day when Christ calls us home
All Christians will speak as one voice.

Jesus will make you part of the family,
And love you now and forever.
Because on that glorious day
We will be in Heaven together.

Thank you, Rach. I am a proud mama! She wrote another one, but it is about Christmas, and seems odd for this time of year. But, I'll post it if anyone asks...

Okay...

Christmas Time
By: Syd

Christmas time has come about.
I never had a single doubt.
We stand around and sing together,
But I know a way to make it better.

We need to talk about Jesus’ birth,
And how he was born unto this earth.
He came to save us, everyone,
This is God’s only son.

He has a plan for this ol’ world.
He wants to save every boy and girl,
But to save us we must believe
That he came on the day after Christmas Eve.

But, she wants to work in a forensic DNA lab or be a world famous chef....

Please don't over look this poem.

Depression with God

Nasty,
Ugly,
Bashing
My heart

Heaven
Hell
Good
Evil

God
Can
Help
Me

If
I
Continue
To

Believe
In
His
Sacrifice

And
In
His
Name

He
Will
Carry
Me

In
His
Loving
Arms.
