quote:
A longtime champion of homeschooling rights around the globe, Home School Legal Defense Association Senior Counsel and Director of State and International Relations Christopher J. Klicka was called home by his Lord on October 12, 2009, at age 48, following a 15-year battle with multiple sclerosis. An attorney, spokesman, lobbyist, and homeschooling husband and father, Chris is survived by his wife, Tracy, their seven children (ages 11–21), and his parents, Ardath and George Klicka. Read the rest here.

This is so sad. Multiple sclerosis is a terrible disease. Thankfully he is with the Lord free and healthy.

How sad. I saw this and said "Oh no" and my poor son thought something was terribly wrong with us.

I'm glad that he's now pain free and able to run, but my heart breaks for his family.

The homeschooling world has lost a great champion. May many people rise to take his place. May God comfort his family and raise up a man to help raise his kids.

I had one telephone conversation with Chris Klicka in 1992 or 1993, and mentioned some of my own research. He incorporated it in Home Schooling: the Right Choice and gave proper credit. IOW, he was a scholar with integrity.
