Matthew 21: 21-22 say, "Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive."
For true, believing in something that is True has great power especially when God is in it! In addition, not everything we ask, we will get it based on our will, but according to HIS purpose! HE always gives the best for us, that's just the mystery part of our Loving Father! Oh I love Him too much! To believe in such Love Father, I know that I'm not alone when I encounter uncertainty in life, I know HE is there watching over me regardless of time, location, etc.!
The Love of God could be described from this beautiful song - Footprints in the sand sung by Leona Lewis! When I know that who holds my future, then I really don't have to worry, only believing and count on HIM!

There are multiple reasons why I believe what I do...
First, I grew up in a Christian home, so that kinda "biased" me towards my beliefs. While I'm very thankful for that, my current faith is no longer dependent upon mom's and dad's.
I went through a period where studying the Bible with an apologetics mindset confirmed its truth to my mind. Fulfilled prophecy is one example, especially those concerning Jesus' first coming and the return of Israel as a nation in 1948.
But obedience and faith confirmed it to my heart ("If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." - John 8:31-32). There are some things you can only receive proof for if you trust and obey (two sides of the same coin).
I also have a real living relationship with Jesus. He speaks to me primarily through His word, but also through the Holy Spirit. I also see answers to prayer, in my life and in others (here's a few some examples).
When it comes to convincing someone else, I am coming more to know that it is not humanly possible without the work of the Holy Spirit. No matter how much evidence you give for the existance of God, inspiration of the Bible, and faith in Jesus Christ, you can't make somebody believe something they don't want to. Not that an appeal using an intellectual approach is bad - it just won't work unless God opens their eyes (John 6:44,65,8:43).

Fear is the greatest defeat in men's life! When there is fear, it blocks your mind, when the mind is blocked, it hard for you to put things into action! However, when we believe in God, there shall no fear, cause He sent His Son for us! Know that HE will never let go of HIS children cause we are redeemed by HIS Son - Jesus Christ, who has overcome the death! Just like the song - Never Let Go by Matt Redman

Psalm 118: 14 says, "The LORD is my strength and song, an is become my salvation." There's a power in praising, cause praising God in Spirit could just imagine the Love that God for me! This helps my belief even stronger especially when I was in the hospital! To God be the glory!

There is not only power in faith but for the first time ever, (at the age of 55) I felt the power of prayer...for myself.

I must thank God that you took time read the post and the words of encouragement!
Often time, my girl friend told me not to believe any online communication, however, we have reached to an era that need e-technology whenever we are! By the grace of God, I find this forum is inspiration, and it really helps my spiritual life everyday!
I can't say I'm a spiritual giant but by the grace of God, but through experiences, I learn to count on HIM! I guess that scary my families cause they have seen my determination in my faith more and more everyday! They feel I have betrayed my culture and ancestors!
I believe that God could do more through us when we have a open, loving heart and pure spirit! Only HIS Love could reconcile and melt all hatred, disagreement, conflict, etc.
