I recently had a tune pop back into my head from 25 years ago. It must have come out in the early to mid-80s and I can't for the life of me think of the female artist that sang it. I just know the lyrics are something like: Oh* the world is watching Watching everything we say and do Oh the world is watching me and watching you... *might be saying "all" rather than "oh" Anyways, it's something like that. It played a lot on KSBJ in the mid 80s when my mother would drive me to school. I thought it might be Amy Grant, or maybe Michelle Pilar, Twila Paris...or somebody from that era. Very slick sound. It's starting to annoy me that I can't think of who sang it. haha Sound familiar to any of you who were around back then?

I think I'm wrong, but this almost sounds like Amy Grant's song Angels.

Angels Yeah, it's not that one. But Amy's song was actually playing a lot around the same time as the one in question.

ORIGINAL: WillingSpirit Perhaps it is Leslie Philips? or maybe Margaret Becker? Definitely not Margaret. She was too late in the 80s and she started off too rock. I considered Leslie because I didn't know what she sounded like in the early 80s. But, I went through her old stuff and no dice. quote:
ORIGINAL: humbleinspirit Connie Scott perhaps or Kathy Trcocolli too? I considered these 2...searched both and was having a hard time finding song samples of their work (Connie especially, I did find Spirit Mover though). It's more Kathy's 80s output that is hard to come by. Who knows, maybe this was some local Houston girl. Doubt it though.

Maybe I'll stumble across it converting some of my parents' cassettes to CD.

I constructed something on my Triton. Nothing fancy-shmancy. It's bass, drums, and then a piano part - which represents the melody that the female vocalist is singing. Here is a mediafire link: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mdvdgm3tzm5
