Alright fellas - I need your input here.

I am in the process of booking a fabulous second honeymoon for DH and I. Our anniversary is the 26th of Nov, which always falls right around Thanksgiving. This year, it falls ON Thanksgiving. I'm planning to book two nights, three days at a luxury hotel here, and want to do something extraordinary for him. Now, I'm not looking for advice about what to wear when the lights go out - I got that covered. Let's keep it G rated, ok? I'm looking more for things that GUYS are into. Paul likes to eat - do guys like women making the arrangements for dinner? What about room service instead? He's indicated an interest in snow skiing as well - we have a place close by, but since he'd have to take a lesson would that necessarily be a good idea?

I want to appeal to the "woo woo" side, but also the fun side.

I'm assuming you know what he likes to eat. Are you familiar with the restaurants in the area where you'd eat? If not, it might be best to let him in on the decision where to eat so if it falls short you won't have to take the hit on that. Otherwise, relax and enjoy yourselves. Let things evolve as they will.

Yes, he likes to eat. . . A LOT. LOL He is a "quantity" over "quality" type guy.

I'm knocking around the idea of Graceland. I can get a good deal on a package, but we'll have to factor in airfare, as Memphis is a 7 hour drive.

I say find him a 16 ounce steak somewhere then. Elvis would approve.

Don't forget the fried twinkies if you go to Graceland!

Skiing lessons sounds like fun, as long as you can do it together. A ski lodge, all you can eat beef buffet, and a fire place. Hmmm....

Talking about steaks, if he likes his protein, take him to a Brazilian steak house. They are usually named "Churrascaria Plataforma" (literally silver platter BBQ).

It is... a steak eating men's best friend... It is ... ALL. YOU. CAN. EAT. MEAT. I mean it is galore of various types of steaks, sausages, chicken, pork, and more! And the service so far in multiple places always been non-stop delivery of ... MEAT!

Avoid all the appetizers and the salad bar. They are there to fill you up.

Woo woo side, wow that's awesome. I don't think I've heard that one in awhile.
Besides skiing, what are his other interests? Shooting, fishing, outdoorsy stuff?

I think it's important to plan things that both of you can enjoy together, as a couple. It's great that you want to do this for your husband, but remember that if it's really going to be a 2nd honeymoon, it has to be about you two as a couple, not just one of you as an individual. So, if you can think of some things that you both like to do together, aim at including lots of that.
