I went around to the neighborhood kids and asked them which horse they liked. Of course I had to tell them who was running too.

Guess you were riding a stick horse with racing silks, "Dude"

Big, big day for the Packer fans, team and Brett!

Sorry Gary But even I, a non-sports fan in general thought the game was pretty exciting.
Well, the last 15 minutes, which is what I watched.

This post is to mark my 10,000 post.

Actually I hit 10,000 yesterday but I was not paying attention, so G-n-M brought it to my attention.

Thanks Michelle.

And since a few of my old posts got deleted last night, this is my second 10,000 post.

I have a dilemma about Thanksgiving. My sister just called me on the phone. I had planned on going to her and my BIL place for Thanksgiving. Anyway she told me that my BIL's son, wife and 2 kids were also staying for the weekend. My BIL had not seen his son since the kid was 16. So the whole dynamic will be totally unknown.

he house is rather small. My sister is working on Thursday so the meal will be Saturday, and they will both be working on Friday. I am thinking of going down either Friday or early Saturday morning. Or maybe waiting until Christmas.

Hmmmm, I think if it were me in the situation...I'd wait until Friday or early Saturday and go for the meal. I forgot how far it is for you. That way it would give more time for your BIL and his son's family, and you still would be part of the get together only in a condensed way...which, I get the impression you would prefer now with other family being there.

Will you have something to do on actual Thanksgiving?

It is a 3 hour trip each way. And you are right, I don't want to hang around with people I don't know while my sister and BIL are at work.

At present I do not have alternative plans for Thanksgiving.

Um, Sorry Denny. Didn't see that question until now and, well, you probably aware of the outcome by now.

I work with a guy that is orginally from NC. Imagine him all alone amongst the "cheeseheads" at work. He's been here in wisconsin about 7 years now I think.

I don't have a Panthers jacket. I do have an old Chief's jacket, but I don't think I want to wear it. I would wear anything KU. The Kansas-Missouri game this weekend has taken on unbelievable proportions due to the fact that they are 2 and 3 in the polls.

I have pretty much decided not to go to my sisters until Saturday morning. I have Thursday and Friday off and I can keep myself busy at home and in town those two days.

As much as would love to meet Sharon some time, I don't think that this is the time to do it. It is going to be cold up there.

Here too for that matter.

Awww Denny, that's incredibly sweet! I'm so thankful you and Susie include not only me but Sheila, Pam and Barb in your Wisconsin trips! I thank your son too. If he didn't live in 'sconsin, we probably wouldn't have met you in person yet.

Maybe there's warmer weather in the future?

I'll echo Denny. It was worth the trip.
