I continue to get the following error message everytime I hit OK to post, although, the message does actually post. I have to click to the last page, it doesn't go automatically, the error message just stays up. Any help to resolve this would be appreciated, thanks.

Server Error in '/' Application.
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Edited to add this post actually posted properly; but, in the C/A thread I continue to receive the error message on every post.

I've been getting a lot of Runtime errors the past couple of days. The forums seem to be taking a long time to load, and I don't seem to be having any problems with other websites. (I use FCN.)

I've been having the same problem as kelman - it almost looks like some sort of jsp error page (although I see that you are using asp.net). I've also noticed that the forums are sometimes slow to load or won't load at all sometimes. I'm sorry that I can't be more specific at the moment, but will the next time I see a problem.

I have been having a similar problem as above for the last several days. New prayer requests get emailed to me every day, and they come from the various portals connected to Crosswalk.

My home one is christianity.com, but pages from this and others do not complete loading. They begin, and there are either of 2 messages in loading bar at bottom of browser - one of them is looking at me now:

"Waiting for media.salemwebnetwork.com"
or
"Waiting for ads.oneplace.com"

Due to this I haven't been able to load prayer requests all week. I finally got time to search for one that would load properly, and have discovered that ibelieve.com sometimes works, although it sometimes gets stuck with the same messages too. But if I click reload, then sometimes it will work. The others just don't load at all and I sit looking at a blank page waiting for it load and it doesn't.

This is frustrating as it makes it hard to access the prayer requests, let alone get to any other forum. It's only been happening since the beginning of this week. I have cleared cache, removed cookies and the other usual things one would to do clear any locks or clashes. Tried a different browser and same problem.

It took me a while just to get to this forum, through ibelieve.com, by the time I had to reload and reload. Out of interest, the waiting for media.salemwebnetwork.com is still trying to load whatever it is trying to load at the bottom of my screen ...

Cheers
Sherri

I'm using FireFox and if I post a message and get that annoying "You can't post two consecutive messages in such a short amount of time" (IOW: "slow down, silly") message, I can't go back and click ok, even after waiting the alloted 120 minutes. I have to copy & paste into a new post.

Same problem with PM's.

I stopped using FireFox for a while and came back yesterday and still have the same problem. When I get the "You can't post two consecutive messages" message and click the back button, the "ok" button becomes inactive.

OK - here is my bug report. I had to re-login to post it.

I usually come here by wwwfaithcommunitynetwork.com, sometimes by christianity.com

I was in this forum listing http://www.faithcommunitynetwork.com/Parenting/forumid_19/tt.htm

and clicked on a thread called Teenager Issues. I ended up here:

http://forums.crosswalk.com/Teenager_Issues/m_3914539/mpage_1/tm.htm#0

I was in a different portal and not signed in. I did not sign out of faithcommunitynetwork. I went back to the forum listing and ran my cursor over all the headings and they all were for crosswalk.

IE 7.0 running on XP pro

Yep - we all had that happen. I think techies flipped a bad switch. It seems to be working now.

Total weirdness! I always use FCN, I clicked my bookmark, and suddenly I was in Crosswalk! I thought I was in the Twilight Zone!

These forums load so slow sometimes. I remember a thread where Fritz mentions that he plans to limit the number of game threads in the Humor & Games folder so that the forums will load faster, but I've not seen any updates there or anywhere else in a long time. There are limits on game threads in other folders such as Southern Gospel, so when will it happen in the H&G one?

I am signed in through Crosswalk. When I came on, the last link on the top row says I have 11 new susbscriptions. I click on it, and all it does is refresh the same page. I have to go to 'my forums' and click on each thread title individually to get from one to the next, but after I do that, the count goes down. It's rather a pain, and not a problem that I have had in the past.

I thought I saw this posted elsewhere a few days ago... I'm getting the PM messages every time I refresh a page. I'm using IE on my computer at work (Win XP version) and after receiving a PM, it won't stop giving me notifications.

Also, I couldn't use the "link" function this morning while at work (it gives me a run-time error)

Could be because they're trying the site modifications again. Lots of weird things going on right now.

I couldn't log in earlier. Then I saw the post to open a new browser... now why didn't I think of that! (obviously, it worked!)

The link button isn't working tonight. Fortunately, I remembered how to type them by hand.

It's been reported in the Site Modifications thread.

If you are having strange bugs today, please see if it's reported in THIS THREAD. If it is, then we're good. If it isn't, please report it.

(And yeah, I have to do links by hand, too. )

Making this bold and red so hopefully people will see it.

Has anyone else found that their subscription bell no longer rings? I reported it on the site modification thread a couple days ago, but there was no response (and of course I don't want to repeat it). So I get the feeling it's not a "site modification" problem.

I did double-check my profile to make sure I didn't have it muted. I don't. Anyone else having this problem?

Apparently I can't upload new avatars for the first time in 5 years, because any size is "too large," according to the error window. Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm a professional graphic designer, so i'm well aware of the pixel dimensions & size requirements.

Locke - when did you try it last? It was a known bug dealing with the forum modifications, but Fritz said it should be fixed now.

Am I the only one who is having this problem? Every time I click on the unread subscriptions link, it keeps looping me back to the same thread over and over and over.
