Ok, for the past couple of days, some guys on a local radio show have been picking teams of tough guys from TV shows and movies, and bragging about whose team would beat the others. I thought it may be fun to bring the idea here, and see what we can come up with.

Anyway, here's the deal--pick 5 characters from TV and movies that you think could beat up any other 5 characters anyone else can pick, or that just seems interesting. You can also explain why, if you want.

You can't pick bad guys. You can pick any who started out bad, but turned good, even if only at the end of their lives after throwing the Emperor off a catwalk.

This is in the movies forum, but TV shows are also open; in fact, I think this started on the radio show with a discussion about the A Team's BA Barrakis (probably spelled wrong, sorry).

Ok, to things started, here's a team.

Ripley from the Alien movie--Watch the last 30 minutes of Aliens, then argue with me on this one.

Yu Shu Lien from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon--She and the other actress redefined the term "cat fight", and she won.

Princess Leia--She's friends with a Wookie, and took down Jabba the Hut to rescue her man. Enough said.

The man with no name from the Clint Eastwood movies--All kinds of Clint Eastwoof possiblities out there, this one I think is the coolest.

Bruce Li--Hey, he beat up Chuck Norris in one movie. Chuck Norris fears him. End of story.

What? You picked a Hasselhoff character, and you expect to win? No way!

And you didn't even pick the baddest Selleck character. Find a L'amour western with him in it, then come back with a real tough guy.

I thought we were talking about characters, not the actors!

Michael Knight was one smooth tough mama-jama who nearly always won in a fight and always got the girl

Oh, come on, if not for Kit, Michael would have been nothing.

And don't get me started on the horror that was Baywatch Nights.

Or how about whatshisname Woodward, The Equalizer?
Sam Elliot in We Were Soldiers.
Jean Reno as The Professional
Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Terminator in T-2, if cyborgs count, or as John somethingorother in Commando (less than stellar acting notwithstanding).

Hey, I'd put my team up against yours, and know mine will win, because A-Team bullets won't hit anyone.

Except for the Storm Troopers in Star Wars. Those guys couldn't hit the floor they're standing on.

They are the best shots in the world because they didn't intend to actually kill anybody....just scare the bad guys into submission. With all those bullets flying to NOT hit anyone you have to be an excellent shot.

Then they are the worst tacticians in the history of the world. I'm not sure which is worse.

Superman
Yoda
Rommie - Avatar of the Andromeda Ascendant. (Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda)
Q - the all powerful character from Star Trek Next Generation and Voyager. Started off as a villian but at the end of the series occasionally was actually helpful to the crews (within bounds)
Alex Rogan - title character from The Last Starfighter. He singlehandedly took out the entire Kodan Armada and saved the galaxy.
