**Christ the Judge **

When God the Father gives His Son the inheritance of the nations, (the scroll), Christ is also given the authority & power to execute the judgments written. He is their Judge.

`…the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son,…the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, & has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man.` (John 5: 22, 26 & 27)

Christ is the Chief Justice of Heaven`s supreme court. His decisions are final and beyond His verdict there is no other court of appeal. He exercises the final prerogative that is essential to judgeship; He is able to kill and to make alive.

`There is one Law-Giver, who is able to save and to destroy.` (James 4: 12)

The character of this righteous Judge is shown as the Lamb, (the one who did the Father`s will), standing on the heavenly Mount Zion. He is the victor over the enemy and pronounces the coming judgments – to life and to death. (Rev. 14: 1)

1. TO LIFE – `Fear God and give glory to Him…` (Rev. 14: 7)

We read that there are those who have the victory over the beastly Global Leader, (antichrist). They give praise to the Lamb, saying that He is just and true in His ways, His judgments*.* These people are of Israel & the nations –

`They sing the song of Moses …and the Lamb,…Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations.` (Rev. 15: 2 – 4)

2. TO DESTRUCTION – `Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city;…` (Rev. 14: 8)

Here are the two `fallen, fallen,` indicating the two aspects of the great city of Babylon that are judged. First is the religious council which headed up the apostate church and the various other religions of the world. The powerful Islamic Federation of 10 nations, (10 crowned horns), get rid of every aspect of those religions. (Rev. 17: 16 – 18)

The second area that is dealt with is the commercial activity of the great city. It housed everything from precious jewels to the precious souls of man. God judges it and everything in it is destroyed. The great city of Babylon, the centre of the Global Government, the final tower that man built to make himself as God, is fallen, utterly burned with fire. (Rev. 18: 9 – 19)

3. TO ETERNAL FIRE - `If anyone worships the beast…he shall be tormented with fire…forever.` (Rev. 14: 9 – 11)

The final part of this demonic Global Government is the beastly Global leader, (antichrist) and his executor. They flee to Jerusalem before the fall of Babylon and control the world from there. People have to choose whether they will still follow this man, or will repent & turn to God. (Dan. 11: 41)

The earth is then ready to be reaped --those to life, & those into God`s great winepress, (Armageddon).

I thought he was 1/3 God HAVING that authority!’

He DIDN’T have it…?

Interesting Question. Yes, Jesus was part of the Godhead, however, as a glorified man Jesus needed to be subject to the Father. And also, to be given authority as being part man.

One thing I find beautiful is that Revelation presents Jesus not only as Savior, but also as righteous Judge. The One who judges the world is the same One who humbled Himself, suffered, and gave His life for us. That gives me confidence that His judgments are both just and merciful.

**Christ the Deliverer **

The Lord Jesus Christ, Heaven`s High Court Judge, makes the decisions - `to save or to destroy.` (James 4: 12) His judgments are righteous and are acclaimed by a great multitude in heaven.

`True and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great prostitute… and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants…Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!` (Rev. 19: 2 & 6)

Christ then comes forth from heaven to earth into time, with His angelic army, and personally deals with the armies of the world. (Matt. 25: 31)

**Judgment of the antichrist and his army. **

`and He gathered them together to the place called – Armageddon.` (Rev. 16: 16)

From the valley of Megeddo, (Heb. Armageddon) at the north of Israel, all the armies of the world gather. God then draws them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat, outside Jerusalem. (Joel 3: 12) Then on the Mount opposite, the Mt of Olives the Lord Jesus Christ and His angel army descend. (Zech. 14: 3 & 4 Matt. 16: 27)

His word of judgment, like a sword that comes forth from His mouth has the effect of a nuclear blast –

`Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should strike the nations.` (Rev. 19: 14)

`And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem: their flesh shall dissolve while they stand in their feet, their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, & their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths.` (Zech. 14: 12)

Israel`s Messiah Revealed.

When the Lord has dealt with the world`s armies, the antichrist & False prophet, He goes across the valley to Jerusalem. There He meets with the people of Judah, the ruling tribe, & then the house of David, & the people of Jerusalem. A third of the people of Israel survived the terrible onslaught of the world`s armies & are looking for their Messiah.

However when the Lord shows them His nail pierced hands, it is only then that they realise that He was the one who came 2,000 years before and was crucified. With great sorrow they mourn because He was the promised Son & their nation killed Him.

`The Lord will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David & the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall not be greater than that of Judah.` (Zech. 12: 7)

`And I will pour on the house of the David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on me whom they have pierced; they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, & grieve for Him as one grieves for a first-born.` (Zech. 12: 10)

God knew that Israel would reject Him, but `as their husband` He said He would take `His wife` Israel back again.

`For your husband is your Maker, whose name is the Lord of hosts; your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel,…like a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit,…“For a brief moment I forsook you, but with great compassion I will gather you…with everlasting loving-kindness I will have compassion on you,” says the Lord your Redeemer.` (Isa. 54: 5 – 8)

`I will betroth you to me forever; yes I will betroth you to me in righteousness & justice, in loving-kindness and mercy; I will betroth you to me in faithfulness, and you shall know the Lord.` (Hosea 2: 19 & 20)

Thus, we see that the `wife,` Israel has made herself ready to come under God`s rulership. The symbol of this reunion is ` the marriage of the Lamb.` The title the `Lamb` is only used in connection with Israel for it relates to their sacrifices. And the word `marriage,` denotes master, (Jer. 3: 14 God said – ` I am married to you.` master of you.)

`Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.` (Rev. 19: 7)

Israel then goes on to rule the people of the nations that are left, for a thousand years.
