Baptism prayre neaded

A post was split to a new topic: My journey in faith—not a debate

Our Forums involve discussions of Christianity and faith of many denonimations, including Catholicism. This excellent statement best sums it up:

- We want the community to be a fun place to learn and interact with others with a Christian worldview.[1]

On Baptism Prayer Needed & [k]neaded

There are truly enlightened posts in this topic thread. Please also read this excellent Crosswalk article on baptism by Reverend Dr. Kyle Norman, the Rector of St. Paul’s Cathedral, located in Kamloops BC, Canada:

What Does Jesus’ Baptism Tell Us about Our Baptism?

Norman distills the topic in this point:

“Jesus’ baptism starts his public ministry. Jesus does not rest on the laurels of his baptism, believing that he had ‘fulfilled all righteousness’ Matthew 3:15. Instead, his baptism calls him to begin proclaiming the kingdom of God. Jesus’ ministry of preaching, teaching, and healing flows from his baptism.”

Gotcha brother, I was ignorant of the Catholic faith, even after having attended services several times, but your posts[1] have taught me and I have been digging deeper. THANK YOU

Wow, that’s really encouraging to hear, brother! Keep learning and exploring, but always keep the Scriptures close by, they’re our anchor.

Honestly, messages like yours give me so much courage and motivation when I’m feeling low. Knowing that my posts and reflections are helping someone understand the faith and inspiring them to dig deeper truly touches my heart. It helps me continue what I do and reminds me that even small efforts can make a real impact in the lives of others. You have no idea how much this one reply has meant to me—thank you for sharing, it really lifts my spirit.
I will be praying for you every day, that God continues to guide and bless you in your journey of faith.
Although I sometimes get mocked here and there on Discord, it doesn’t matter to me. What matters most is people like you and ILOVECHRIST, whose lives I’ve been able to impact. For the sake of this reason, I am ready to endure mockery, because my heart is with those who value and love the work I do. I say this with all humility and gratitude, thank you for letting me be a part of your journey in Christ.

@Samuel_23, please include me in this as well as @ServantofChrist (he’s been learning about Catholicism and Orthodoxy since your discussion with him on Zoom). Truly, you have made an impact not only on us, but on my entire community. Your insights and dedication to sharing the faith have inspired many, and it’s evident that your words are bearing fruit in ways you might not even realize.
