Brethrens, I come before You with a heart that has carried heavy burdens. Like Jabez, pain and sorrow have been written into my story from the very beginning. For years, I have been tortured by these painful circumstances, and though many around me criticize, misunderstand, or cast judgment, You know the truth of my struggle. Lord, I refuse to be defined by my pain or the cruelty of others. I choose instead to be defined by Your redeeming love.
Just as Jabez cried out to God, join me cry out to the God of heaven today, that he would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory. I ask that he expand my life, my influence, and my opportunities. The he bless the work of my hands so that I can bring glory to his holy name.
"Lord, let Your mighty hand be upon me every step of the way. Guide my decisions, sustain my spirit, and keep me far from harm so that I will be free from pain. I surrender my past, my present, and my future into Your capable hands. Son of David, have mercy on me. Change my story, Lord, and transform my deepest sorrows into a powerful testimony of Your goodness.
