We’ve all sinned, but we all need to repent of our sin.
The unspoken assumption in this thread is that certain sins, the socially acceptable sins are permitted by God but the unspeakable sexual deviant sins are not accepted by God.
We are All sinners saved by grace.
For most of us a personal falling/backsliding mean leefing at a prettg girl or over eating/drinking.
For others it means committing a crime or gross indecency.
For some reason some say that those who do the latter are not, were never saved.
What is the difference between getting drunk, leering at a girl or committing a sexual act?
They are all sins, need repenting of, but does it really mean youare not aChristian.
I believe this was the question being asked. The key is in the word ‘faithfully’ and the answer is no. They are not walking faithfully because their lifestyle is sinful. If disobedience to God’s word meant an end to salvation, then who here could stand? Salvation is by faith not behavior.
I really don’t get all this focus on homosexuality in the Church. Yes, it’s wrong. The Bible is very clear on that. So are a lot of other things; gluttony for one and no one talks about that much. I guess its because we don’t expect there to be anyone homosexual in the church we attend so we’re free to badmouth them. Why aren’t we talking about the sins many of us do struggle with? What is it about their speck that keeps us from seeing our log? I know this is just conversation for most and maybe a real problem for others, but its not worth the amount of attention we give it.
Anyone living a homosexual or any other sinful lifestyle is not being faithful to Christ, @Fritzpw_Admin, because the Bible in both the Old and New Testaments says, “You shall not commit adultery,” “male and female he created them, and “flee from sexual immorality.”
Exo 20:14 “You shall not commit adultery.
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
1Co_6:18 Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.
oh my god, waah waah waah
If my love and my lifestyle makes it so i don’t enter heaven, i guess that’s what I’m sucking up.
not all homosexuality is lust. animals can be homosexual, and it can still be solely romantic. not that im saying im NEVER lustful with my partner, but I’m not a full-raging freakjob around him. i still go on dinner dates with him.
homosexuality is not lust. if it is, then youre commiting lust, too. because love is always linked to lust.
The Bible speaks clearly about sexual sin, and it’s important to approach this topic with both truth and compassion, as Jesus did. When we look at Scripture, we see a consistent pattern regarding sexual relationships. God’s design, as laid out in the creation accounts and reinforced throughout the Old and New Testaments, is for marriage to be between a man and a woman.
For example, in Genesis 1:27-28, it says, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and govern it.’” This foundational passage sets the framework for human relationships and procreation within a male-female union.
The Apostle Paul addresses sexual immorality directly in 1 Corinthians 6:18, stating, “Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.”
This verse broadly condemns sexual sin. More specifically, in verses 9-10, he lists those who will not inherit the kingdom of God, including “men who practice homosexuality.” This is a clear indication of how the early church understood and taught about this matter.
Lust itself is also addressed by Jesus. In Matthew 5:28, He says,
“But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”
This shows that even the thought and intent of lustful desire is sinful, regardless of the gender of the person being lusted after. The principle here is about the purity of our thoughts and desires, which are meant to be aligned with God’s will.
It’s crucial to remember that God’s grace is available to all who turn to Him. While the Bible is clear on these matters, it also emphasizes love and forgiveness. Jesus Himself associated with those considered sinners, not to condone their sin, but to call them to repentance and a new life.
The message of the Gospel is one of redemption and transformation for everyone.

Each year I read the entire Bible, cover to cover. This morning I read in 1 Kings 15
**11 **And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord, as did David his father.
**12 **And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made…./KJV
Seems very clear to me! How would the gays spin that one? If gays (sodomites) think they can be righteous and still be gay, why were the sodomites taken out of the land? Duh, because God don’t like sodomy.
we have increased in number already, we can focus on other things!! heterosexual relationships aren’t as required anymore. we’re overpopulated, and kids are dying from it.
Honestly being gay, lesbian, or bisexual could even be better as it helps less abortions happen daily. Also we are extremely overpopulated already and the more and more we reproduce the worse our earths climate ad pollution gets. So stop hating on gays its not your life, it doesn’t effect you, and its not harmful to anyone or anything. (kudo’s to my friend Kora for this bit lol)
not “repenting” for my love life, thanks
one, i never said that “lust doesn’t count if its another man”, i said “not all love is lust”. two, lust just naturally comes with love. biology doesn’t care about your religion – whether you want it to or not. all love – including straight AND homosexual love, always starts with a type of lust. the attraction of how someone looks, smells, etc. which is what leads us to meet these people and grow attracted to their personality, thoughts, style, etc.
what needs to be accepted: Love is love, not a crime. adam and eve were created to repopulate not because its a sin to love the same sex, but to populate the earth that god made. now that we’re populated – if anything, OVERpopulated, being straight really doesnt matter. and I’m not going to repent for a non-existent sin.
god bless all it doesnt matter your sexuality
