Arguments - rather angry fights like this are why I stopped commenting on the forums. You’re all so blinded by your hate that you can’t see the truth of Jesus. You all need to stand back and listen to the Holy Spirit, God’s whispers, and Jesus’s teachings. So much hate and no understanding of God’s word.
a) Clearly you haven’t stopped commenting! And your comment is as “hateful” as the rest of the thread.
b) Nobody is “blinded by hate”. If we are, then you fit the definition as well.
c) What does your comment have to do with the understanding of God’s word? If you read the Bible, you will see that there is a great deal of conflict, starting with the garden of Eden (snake vs human), continuing through Moses, OT wars, OT prophets, and many times in the New Testament (Jesus (many times), Paul, and others) and ending with Revelation. In other words, from Genesis through Revelation, there is often bitter and sometimes deadly conflict, so your “truth of Jesus” isn’t true -=- by a long shot. So a) read your Bible and b) stop the hypocrisy.
The US is in turmoil now and people on both sides have strong feelings. I and others put forth our thoughts, sometimes strongly. If you don’t like it then leave.
Thank you. You’re correct, I did comment for the first time in months. But I also like your suggestion and I’ll leave.
A federal judge has extended a temporary block on the Trump administration’s use of the 1798 Alien Enemies Act to deport suspected members of Venezuela’s Tren de Aragua gang. The administration had argued the gang’s presence constituted “irregular warfare,” justifying wartime powers for immediate deportation. The judge disagreed—for now—siding with the ACLU, which said the move violates due process. The restraining order is in place until April 12, and the Supreme Court is now involved after the administration filed an emergency appeal.
The Alien Enemies Act has only been used during actual wars (1812, WWI, WWII), making this a highly controversial test of presidential authority on immigration.

I’m wondering why a judge wants to keep Venezuela’s Tren de Aragua gang members in the United States. What standing do they have, as far as due process is concerned?
It’s sad that you selectively apply the rights of due process!
Some of the people that Trump illegally deported are not Venezuela’s Tren de Aragua gang members.
The planes were ordered to turn around and THEY VIOLATED THE COURT ORDER.
Quick reminder of what God says on this issue. Through God-given authority, each country and nation has the right to set the law and punish anyone breaking those laws -
Rom 13:1 Every person is to be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. 3 For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same; 4 for it is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a servant of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil. 5 Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath, but also for the sake of conscience.
1 Pet 2:13 Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, 14 or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right. 15 For such is the will of God, that by doing right you silence the ignorance of foolish people. 16 Act as free people, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bond-servants of God.
Illegal aliens are just that - illegal. They committed a crime when they illegally crossed the border. If they dragged their children across the border illegally, that’s on their head through their sinful choice. It’s not the responsibility of any government to support the results of their criminal actions. Families can be deported together, as they should be, so there is no separation involved.
Per CBP, immigrants who have broken the law in the U.S. or have criminal convictions abroad [including prior to entering the U.S.] are subject to arrest and deportation.
Come here legally and be welcomed. Come here illegally and face the consequences as well as God’s condemnation. Pretty simple stuff.
Your post describes illegal immigrants at length, and the points that you make are obvious. However, that is not the full story. Trump issued an order based on an early, obscure act : the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deport Venezuelan migrants suspected of being members of the Tren de Aragua gang. Two things to consider: a) a judge ruled that the deportation was not legal and the planes were to return to the US. => The planes did NOT turn around and return in violation of the judge’s decision <= In other words, continuing the deportation was illegal. b) some of the people who were deported were in the country legally and were not gang members.
Tren de Aragua a) is not a foreign nation or government and b) their actions were neither an ‘invasion’ or a ‘predatory incursion’, both of which are requirements stated in the act. Trump, therefore, acted contrary to the law.
Trump acted illegally.
Tren de Aragua has been officially designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization for very good reason, and all of its’ members fall under that category. LINK
If you would like to invite a few of them to stay with you, you’re certainly free to do so.
I just don’t know why we want to keep violent illegal immigrants in our country.
Nobody wants to keep violent illegal immigrants in our country. However, it must be clearly and unmistakably determined that they are “violent illegal immigrants”. They should never be deported because somebody, including the President, has arbitrarily determined their status, as was the case recently. a) A Federal judge ordered the plane to return to the US because the deportation decision was improper and b) at least one of the deportees was INNOCENT AND MISIDENTIFIED.
Please stop with the absurd generalities!
Why must you be ridiculously insulting???
Tren de Aragua has been officially designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization, but that doesn’t mean that US law regarding their treatment should be violated.
Not only do I don’t want them (or any other criminal) staying with me, I don’t want Americans who have no regard for the US system of justice (such as yourself) staying with me.
Why do you oppose democracy and the rule of law?
They can be immediately arrested and deported per this: LINK
You can personally disagree with the Alien Enemies Act, but it is currently in effect.
Edit to add: the AEA may be temporarily blocked right now, but it was in effect at the time of the Venezuelan deportations.
a) Do you really think that I dumb enough to click on that link???
b) The Alien Enemies Act is currently under review by the courts. I will accept their findings not your statements, since you lack the required qualifications.
c) In summary, I disregard your biased, unqualified opinions.
By hovering over the link, you can see it’s the official whitehouse.gov website. Nobody has to click it, but I like to back up my posts with where I’m getting information from.
The fact remains that the planes deporting illegal aliens were operating under the AEA at the time.
I thought 100% for sure you would.
You asked.
If you are here illegally, and if it is likely you are violent, then you don’t belong here.
Keep it on topic please. No one here is qualified to identify another participants salvation or their hatefulness.
Deportations will continue, and yes, they are legal.
“Judge James Boasberg canceled the planned hearing after the Supreme Court said his DC court did not have jurisdiction over the case.”
Exactly as expected. Boasberg didn’t have the right to throw down his lawsuit, proving once again this was just another desperate lawfare tactic to delay and thwart the current admin’s agenda, which was overwhelmingly approved by voters. Every single one of these judges should have to face the families of the victims who were murdered, tortured, raped and abused.
LOL!!!
The courts are straightening this mess out. Trump is not a king!
Stay tuned to find out what will happen to the orange felon.
Continued… (read this!)
Chief Judge Jeb Boasberg has issued and extended temporary restraining orders that prohibit the Trump Administration from removing potentially hundreds of individuals from the United States before next Saturday (April 12) pursuant to a Presidential Proclamation purporting to invoke the Alien Enemies Act, which the White House made public, and which thus took effect, on March 15. (The most comprehensive description of the basis for Boasberg’s orders is found in his March 24 memorandum denying the government’s motion to vacate the TROs.) Boasberg is convening a hearing next Tuesday to decide whether to grant plaintiffs’ request for a preliminary injunction, which would prohibit such removals beyond April 12.
