Yeah, I have to agree with @JennyLynne and @DaughterOfEve24. Any excuse to eat Tacos. Seriously, though, I actually enjoy learning about, and to a degree, celebrating different cultures’ traditions. Obviously, I’m not saying you jump in and start worshiping a statue or sacrificing to a god, but celebrate the heritage and the ways of the people, with the people.
I remember having a Dinner Party with a Russian friend of mine, Tatiana. She made a statement that I found was profound, and it has been with me ever since. At this dinner, there were people from many different parts of the Earth. Russia, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, the Philippines, and of course, America. She said this.
“See. If the world could only sit down and break bread, it would be a world of peace.”
I see nothing wrong with learning about, even partaking in, different cultures and traditions. Remember what Paul said.
" For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them. To the Jews, I became a Jew in order to win Jews. To those under the law, I became as one under the law (though not being myself under the law) that I might win those under the law.
To those outside the law, I became as one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law. To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak.
I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings." 1 Corinthians 9:19-23
The only caution I offer is to make sure you do not willingly do something you know is against God, sacrifice to Idols, or to other gods, etc.
