Music, movies, books, software, and even some features in our cars are increasingly offered through subscriptions or digital access rather than something we buy once and own.
Do you prefer paying for access because it’s convenient, or would you rather purchase something once and know it’s yours?
Is there anything you would never want to rent or subscribe to?
I miss getting a roll of film developed.
I also worry about my Amazon Prime movie collection. If I ever stop paying for Prime, all my movies are going to just be gone. 
I agree, the loss of film is depressing.
In my opinion, the further digitized we become, the closer we get to losing any semblance of control in society.
