Do you think small acts of kindness matter spiritually?

Sometimes the smallest things, checking on someone, listening, encouraging a person, can end up meaning a lot more than we realize.

I wonder if those everyday moments are part of how faith is lived out most often.

Without those acts of kindness I’d still be lost, and I myself try to do as many daily as I can in return. I feel they have a huge importance in faith and are part of walking in His footsteps.
They help us see love and express love.

Absolutely! Those “small” things end up being mostly what life is made up of, day in and day out. This reminds me of Tish Harrison Warren’s book Liturgy of the Ordinary. Not sure if you are familiar with it (I recommend it if you’re interested!), but it’s all about the sacredness of ordinary and even mundane things. It’s a simple concept, yet has changed a lot in how I view tasks like parenting and cooking and writing thank-you notes, and yard work, and anything like that.

Always remember, what may seem small to you may change someone’s life forever. I truly believe this is why we are warned.

“Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” Hebrews 13:2

You may never see that person again, or what effect you had on them, but that does not mean their lives, possibly through them, many lives were changed.
