Established Beliefs

Are all established Christian beliefs accurate?

Of course not…In the Bible there was one Church and all the Apostles taught the same teachings as handed down to them from Jesus

Ah. Very large general question.

To answer this I’d need to know what ALL (encompassing) beliefs do you reference?
What does BELIEFS mean? Right off I assume you mean doctrines, if so, which ones are you referencing?
What does ESTABLISHED mean!

The Bible is accurate in all ways.
There are points to which theologians disagree, like the days of creation or Noah’s flood…. But those disagreements are not doctrine, they are personal beliefs held after much research of ones own.

So might I ask what do you specifically want to know?

I’ll ask the question another way:

If most Christians believe something, is it true?

Let’s take an example: BAPTISM.

Some believers believe in total immersionj upon testimony of regeneration.
Some believers believe in sprinkling after birth. (I’m not totally cognizant of this belief.)

So as you still speak in rather large generalities, my generalized answer would be No.

What is a Christian? Catholics consider themselves Christian many times? Some Catholics believe in regeneration and adoption into Gods family, others don’t have a concept of salvation by faith.

James 2:19

King James Version

19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Talking in generalities can avoid fights.

Usually the argument about baptism, it’s been my experience, is whether or not infant baptism is of value. I see both sides of that. On the one hand, an infant doesn’t have any idea what baptism is. On the other hand, parents who believe you will go to hell if you aren’t baptized, want their children baptized to avoid that fate.

Are Catholics an inferior breed of people? I don’t think so.

I am among those who believe there is one God.

Alright Bob, I see you dropping truth bombs like it’s Sunday morning and the altar’s open.

These are solid convictions, no doubt. But here’s a thought: beliefs are easy to list—living them is where the fire starts. Ever had one of these tested so hard you weren’t sure it’d survive the week?

I’ll toss one in the ring: God’s timing is perfect… even when it feels like He’s running on dial-up.

So, real talk—have any of your “established beliefs” ever been dragged through the mud, only to come out stronger on the other side? Or are these battle-tested already?

I am still learning.

I have found that some people think they can’t be wrong.

Same here—I’m still learning too. If I ever stop, you can assume I’ve either reached heaven or lost all self-awareness.

And yeah, I’ve run into folks who think they can’t be wrong. Truth is, I’ve been that person a few times. Nothing like the Holy Spirit using real life to humble you better than any sermon ever could.

Iron sharpens iron, right?

“Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance.” ..: Proverbs 1:5 :..

What’s something you’ve had to unlearn—or re-learn—the hard way?

One Lord, one faith, one baptism

Far to broad a question.
Are all established Christian beliefs accurate?
Do you included mormons, jw’s, christian scientists, roman catholic, the various orthodox churchs, the health wealt and prosperity churches along with the myriad of protestant groups?

Oh absolutely—we’ve got to define “Christian” before we go tossing that label around like sprinkles on heresy. Not everyone with a cross on the building is carrying their cross daily (Luke 9:23). If “established belief” includes cults, counterfeits, and cash-grab gospel hustlers, then we’re not talking about Christianity, we’re talking about confusion. Let’s start with Scripture, not tradition, titles, or televangelists.
