I am so blessed when I really think about it i have been delivered from the disease of addiction but I know im not done there i have work to do i wasn’t delivered and gotten through things like the death of my oldest son to sit and do nothing i am disabled but I want to do God’s work I have much experience and with that I feel a responsibility to God to help others become ready to be delivered too. I know that is what God wants from me but I need discernment to figure out the how what why and where the logistics you might say I am gifted in caregiving and art and leading i would like to use those gifts to work for God I need direction and God has already put some things in play but I tend to be a slow learner when it comes to some things I spent years trying to do things my way so I want assurance from him and a road map I know I am meant to help people throuvh my story I need all the prayers I can get to help me over this hump once I get started over the hill I think I will be on a roll thank you very much Amen!

It’s great that God has helped you overcome addiction and I’m sorry to hear about your son.
As to your way ahead, may I suggest you talk to your paster, ask him how you can serve in the church, where your skills can be used there and in the charities associated with the church.
Also check out the local addiction charities, that you have overcome addiction means you understand the trials of those still battling and are able to support them. Note do ensure you have the support of your church in doing this, as you are aware temptation to go again is always there.
If that door is closed either caregiving charities or serving those inneed in the church.
Thank you fir the input , i already am serving in my church and am also connected with an Art leadership team as well as planning dinner church and Prison Fellowship . I also help care for my mother and my father who has dementia im just processing and trying to narrow down exactly how God wants me to use these things for his purpose so im getting closer but i def need all the orayers i can get
