I lift up this urgent prayer request from the deepest valleys of affliction, with a heart that anchors itself fully in the sovereignty and goodness of our Lord.
I lost my livelihood as a part-time mission school teacher. Today, my family is facing the agonizing reality of severe hunger. My two precious children are starving, and the physical pain of hunger pierces our bodies daily. In a moment of absolute desperation to keep my children alive, I fell into temptation and did what I never thought I would do just to get them food. My soul is heavily burdened with shame, but I repent before the Lord and lay my brokenness at His feet.
Like blind Bartimaeus sitting in the dark by the wayside, I am crying out with every ounce of my remaining strength: “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” (Mark 10:47). Even in this darkness, I know that my Redeemer lives, and I trust that He hears the cries of the poor.
Please stand in the gap with me and pray for:That Jehovah Jireh will miraculously provide food and sustenance to save my children from this slow. That our faith will not fail in this hour of deep testing, and that God will exchange our shame for His peace. For an end to the crisis in our land, so that livelihoods can be restored.
