Hello
I am a single lady who lives in South Africa. I have walked a grueling six yrs since my husband of 24 yrs left. I lost more than I believed humanly possible and now live in a small old flat with the remnants of my past.
I have searched for work wherever I could and tried to build a few businesses but nothing has produced fruit. I would also love to find a companion, but there are none here for a lady over 55. It has been a harsh and lonely awakening.
I would love to find single friends my age and over on this forum… as I search for opportunities and push myself daily still to try find my purpose and new identity in a place I find hard to live in.

I homeschooled using an American curriculum… sadly that is all part of my past… and each day I try find something to do - but the options are limited here.
Christmas is a particularly challenging season…
