Please pray for my son Andrew & his wife Liz to find Christ & live for HIM!
Hi,
Angelamd, I can help you lead these people to Jesus.
Make sure they are are serious about wanting to be a believer. If so, I can Scripturally take you through the reasoning, and the sinner’s prayer.
There are seven points, all backed up by Scripture, that tells them why they need to be saved, and what happens when you do.
- All have sinned.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
- We have no righteousness within ourselves.
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
- Unforgiven sin leads to death.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- God provides a way for us, through His Son Jesus Christ, to have our sins forgiven, and have everlasting life. (Salvation)
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
- Jesus will provide forgiveness, and salvation, if we receive Him into our lives.
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
- When Jesus enters our lives, He cleanses us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
- Once we are cleansed, we are, in Christ, new creatures.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
How do we get there? If we are truly repentant, here is a simple prayer asking for forgiveness.
Jesus, I know that I am not where I should be with You. I repent of my sins, and ask You come into my life; and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Thank You Jesus. Amen.
Congratulations, and welcome to the family.
If we have done this, we have become new creatures. Now you need to read about what has happened. I recommend two books in the Bible from which to start. The gospel of John to begin to understand who Jesus is. I also recommend reading 1 John to understand what being a believer means. There is also another benefit for reading 1 John.
1 John 1:4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
And who doesn’t want their joy to be full?
Blessings
Dear friend,
Your cry for your son and and his wife is a cry heard in heaven. It echoes the very heart of the Lord Jesus, who came “to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). You are not alone in this intercession—the Spirit Himself intercedes with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26).
Isaiah 49:25
“For I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children.”
This is not merely your battle. The Lord fights for Andrew and Liz. He has not stopped pursuing them. His arm is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear.
2 Peter 3:9
“The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise… but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”
That longing you carry is a reflection of God’s own heart. He delays judgment not from indifference, but because of divine mercy—so that Andrew and Liz may still yet believe.
Ezekiel 36:26
“And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you.”
The Lord can break through hardened hearts and awaken the soul. He did it for Saul of Tarsus. He did it for the thief on the cross. He still does it.
John 16:8
“And when He comes, He will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.”
The Holy Spirit still convicts. He still draws. No one comes to the Son unless the Father draws them, and you are asking for that very work. It is not in vain.
Acts 16:31
“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”
This was not a shallow promise. It was given in a prison—and it was fulfilled. The gospel reached the jailer’s whole family. Christ can reach Andrew and Liz.
Keep sowing. Keep weeping. Keep believing.
You do not know which seed will spring up, or when—but Isaiah 55:11 still stands:
“My word… shall not return to Me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose.”
We are praying with you for salvation, for soft hearts, for divine encounters, for the veil to be lifted.
And we remember—it is not too late.
The cross was wide enough.
The tomb is still empty.
And the Spirit still moves.
Always here.
Johann.
