# I just built this argument explaining using scriptural support why God had to exist as he fully is prior to all existence, in that him being complete, perfect, all knowing and all powerful, capable and everything. Contributions are encouraged

#### I. Pure Actuality: The Immutability and Completeness of the First Cause

The First Cause cannot be developing or incomplete. If a first cause had to grow, acquire properties, or change over time, it would be contingent—reliant on prior conditions to move from potential to actuality. But a true First Cause depends on nothing outside itself. Therefore, it must be pure actuality: radically complete, unchanging, and self-contained. It doesn’t become; it simply is.

- **Exodus 3:14** _(Literal Hebrew Translation)_

- Malachi 3:6

- James 1:17

- Psalm 102:25–27

#### II. The Source of Mind: The Necessary Ground of Consciousness

The source of mind cannot be less than mind. You demand how an impersonal engine yields personal consciousness. The answer is basic metaphysics: an effect cannot possess a fundamental property—like rationality, self-awareness, or conceptual thought—that has no root in its cause. Claiming a blind, unconscious mechanism generates a conscious mind is pulling an infinite rabbit out of a hat with no hat and no rabbit. The First Cause must be the supreme ground of consciousness, not a lesser byproduct of dead matter.

- **1 Corinthians 2:11**

- **Job 32:8**

- **Proverbs 20:27** (Literal Hebrew Translation)

- **Isaiah 40:13–14**

#### III. The Absolute Standard: Objective Truth and Moral Weight

The First Cause must be the absolute standard. When you dismiss meaning or morality as “contraband,” you are quietly borrowing an objective baseline of truth and justice to make your critique. In a purely material universe of colliding atoms, “justice” is a biochemical illusion and “ought” does not exist. The First Cause cannot measure up to an external standard—it must be the standard. All objective truth and moral weight flow downstream from its unchanging character.

- **Psalm 119:160** (Literal Hebrew Translation)

- **Deuteronomy 32:4**

- **John 14:6**

- **Romans 3:4**

#### IIII. The Ultimate Identity: The Fullness of the Unconditioned Cause

A true First Cause is not a cold, blank cipher. It is complete because it has no potentials to fulfill, conscious because it anchors the mind, and the absolute standard because everything else derives its reality from it.

- **Colossians 1:16–17**

- **Acts 17:24–25**

- **Romans 11:36**

#### Conclusion

Therefore, because a true First Cause cannot be developing or incomplete but must exist as pure, unchanging actuality (_Exodus 3:14_, _Malachi 3:6_), because an impersonal mechanism cannot generate personal consciousness and rationality without borrowing from an infinite Source (_1 Corinthians 2:11_, _Job 32:8_), and because all objective truth, meaning, and moral weight require an unconditioned internal standard rather than a material illusion (_Deuteronomy 32:4_, _Psalm 119:160_), the First Cause is not a cold, inert cipher. It is fully, necessarily, and scripturally God—the self-existent bedrock from which all being, mind, and morality flow, and outside of which nothing can coherently exist (_Romans 11:36_).

Oh, this one. Let me be completely honest. This is a very strong, well-reasoned defense of classical theology and Christian apologetics. I completely agree with your core points here.

A self-existent, necessary First Cause ( **‘I AM’** in Exodus 3:14) must be completely self-contained and unchangeable (James 1:17). If God could change or evolve, He would be contingent on something greater than Himself.

Matter alone cannot produce consciousness or rationality out of nothing. As you noted from Job 32:8 and 1 Corinthians 2:11, ultimate intellect originates in the Spirit of God. As well, truth and moral law cannot exist in a purely materialistic vacuum. They require an absolute, unchanging standard rooted in God’s character, as in Deuteronomy 32:4.

> **“The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he.”**

Connecting classical metaphysics so clearly to Scripture (Colossians 1:16–17 and Acts 17:24–25) shows clearly that the First Cause isn’t an abstract mathematical formula or dead energy. He is the living, personal God of the Bible. Great post!

Be blessed, be a blessing, Jesus is LORD!

Peter

@kv100
It is not my intention to be harsh, or critical, but I am just pointing out something that you may not see, something that steals from your good intentions, and diminishes the depth of the ideas you share. When this was mentioned before, you reacted negatively. In love, I’m trying to explain that It is something that is hard to ignore, and it hijacks your message. Let me show you…

> Sir, English is not my home language, you judging me about spelling mistakes is not it. I dont know how you made the connection to using AI when i made a spelling mistake. I also mentioned that i speak 5 languages with my device so spelling mistakes will likely happen because my auto correct is in shambles

But your post in this topic thread has no misspellings, no improper punctuation, no grammar flaws, and does not reflect the writing of one who suffers with an “in-shambles” auto-correct engine. We know English is not your first language, we appreciate your thoughts (that are actually yours) written your way, in your own words. I doubt anyone really cares about misspellings, punctuation, or grammar mistakes. Those are “par-for-the-course” in a public forum. But what most people react to is someone supposedly passing off someone else’s work for their own; i.e. when a post is so highly polished that it is obviously from another source.

I have no doubt that your post actually reflects your own ideas, and I appreciate YOUR ideas. I don’t fault you for using writing tools to make your presentation presentable. But when those tools take over your presentation, and make it their own, it is less respectable; less respectable because it is less you. It is just very hard for me to tell which ideas are yours, and which came from another source. Your title says: “I just built this argument…”, but it reads like someone (or something) else actually built it. There may be an inclination to use writing tools (like AI) to add authenticity to your argument, but in actuality, authenticity is reduced or negated, if you see what I’m saying. People stop listening when they think they are hearing from a robot, and so your good points are lost. (All but Pastor Peter. His pastor’s heart seems to cut through the distraction, and he actually heard what you were saying. I applaud him.)

I do want to comment on your thesis, but I will do that in another post, so my admonition is not lost in the rhetoric.

Listening…

The reason I used the term ‘first cause’ was because I was chatting with an atheist on twitter and in his vocabulary he kept on saying first cause refering to God so at some point i shared this with them, when they opened the door to allow for scripture to enter/be used. Every argument I have shared here was first shared to a non believer/atheist on twitter I was chatting with. That is were I do all my evangelising

OK, Sorry, @kv100. I certainly didn’t intend to “insult” you, or to do anything that may feel like “harassment”. I was just trying to be helpful. I guess I missed. You are right, I do not know your “\*level spiritual growth and development\*”. I didn’t think that mattered. If so, please disregard what I said.

Apologies
