Loneliness and Out of work

I feel so lonely and abandoned by everyone, I have no one who calls or talks to me, I’m tired of being alone. The only time I have interaction with someone is when I go grocery shopping. I go to church and it’s like I’m invisible. Please pray for God to send me relationships. I don’t want to be alone. I’m also having trouble getting an ID and birth certificate. I need alot of prayer :folded_hands:.

Praying for you Manny!

Hello @Manny613

Have you started reading The Word? Have you started praying? Spending time with God? How do you now apply it to your life? You must have the right mind.

“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” {Colossians 3:2}

Forget what the World tells you is right and wrong, grey, or acceptable. Start learning, or relearning, what God says. The world is a world of flesh, and the things therein are for the flesh. It is opposed to God or anything spiritual. As Paul wrote to the Churches in Rome in Romans 12:2

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

You must learn how to “walk by faith, not by sight.” {2 Corinthians 5:7} To listen to God, To trust in God. To understand His Word. If you claim that you are a follower of Jesus, then should you not be following Jesus?

This is why it is so very important that you take the time to lay the foundation. Now you have a source to go to. Pretty hard to think, “What would Jesus do?” if you have no idea who Jesus is. Right? Or, what does God think about this or that, if you have no idea who God is? God is not a total mystery. He tells us plainly what He thinks. He tells us plainly what He is opposed to and what He loves. Think Exodus 20. Think John 3:16. So on and so forth.

Now you know, and now you can learn; you must start to focus on these things. One of the hardest things for a new or even a current child of God to do is overcome the cares of the world. So much so that it can take away the very blessings that God wants to bestow on them. You see, even though you are a new creature, you are still living in the flesh. The flesh is always subject to the things of the flesh. The flesh is always subject to the physical world. We are still in the World. However, now as a child of God, we are no longer OF the world.

Always remember that thoughts lead to actions. When you start to think about something, play it over and over again in that movie theater of the mind, you allow the good or the temptation to take hold.

You could immediately reject that thought, cast it out of your head. Or, you can dwell on it. Remember how much fun you think you had when you were doing these things. You remember the taste, the feelings, the “good times” with friends or whatever, that you can associate with them. Again, you have a choice as a child of God. A choice that the world does not have. For the world is against God. They are not of God. Therefore, they obey the things of the flesh and make manifest the works of the flesh, for they know no better.

But you are not like these. You are a child of God. You have the Spirit of God in you. You have the ability to put these thoughts away and the faith to understand that it is all about God. That you, as a child of God, no longer have to worry. In Philippians 4:7-9

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.”

Hope this may help. God bless.

Peter

Praying for positive relationships and peace of mind with. Contentment Lord Jesus Christ You say in your word a man should not live alone!

Me too. I feel like such a loser. I really try to stay positive and interested when friends talk about their jobs, promotions, salary increases, new houses, vacations, purchases etc. But it is so hard… I’m struggling to afford the basics and on gov’t assistance with children. I’m not myself. I’m under an incredible amount of pressure every day with no end in sight.

@kerligamp Welcome. May I suggest, when facing the things you are facing, you pray and do what our Father tells us to do.

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

And which of you, by being anxious, can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

Therefore, do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:25-33

Pray, and trust in God. Our Father will be with you, always.

Peter

What you need is PRACTICAL assistance, not just prayers.

J.

I know that struggle, brother. I spent a lot of my early years feeling lonely. I yearned for relationship, friendship, love. And the world just seemed so distant. It is like looking through a window and watching other people enjoying a party you can’t seem to join. You could go inside and walk around but you would always be a stranger. And no one is interested in you. No one wants to invest the time or energy to get to know you or to help make you a part of the group.

Part of this is because of the times we live in. Everywhere we look. Walls are way up to keep new people out. And this has trapped people in prisons of their own making.

There is so much anger, fear, hopelessness, self pity, and unforgiveness that binds people in place and keeps them from the Joy of Christ and the capacitlty for true authentic relationship and connection which allows people to accept each other as they are the same way Christ does, and the same way our Heavenly Father does, for they welcome us as we are without question into their loving arms. God is with us, even if we are incapable of seeing Him or His LOVE while lost in our pain and struggle.

And part of this disconnection of people is due to our phones and internet access and social media which have reduced societies capacity to come together and bond in real ways. We have lost the knowlege and ability and the desire to develope relationships and have replaced it with attention seeking behavior on social media, for likes and the strokes of our egos.

And we have generations of chuldren being born with Autistic characteristics which further the divide and inability to bond.

You are not alone, but we have made prisons in our hearts and minds that seperate us with suspicion, fear, and loathing. We are at war with the forces that divide us to conquer us and destroy us. Society cannot stand if it cannot come together. And no church can stand either while embracing the hateful broken nature of this world.

So welcome to the battlefield. I am with you. Christ is with us. So let us pray together for all those who believe they stand alone. Let us learn what others have forgotten. Let us build up in ourselves the character and virtue that can heal this divide. Let us embrace the guidance of thr Holy Spirit to do good, to be just, to stand as leaders and lighthouses in the midst of this growing fog and guide those poor lost souls at sea back home to the shore where we can all rejoice together.

And if life gets really bad, and you need to talk with someone, please consider talking with a specialist. Therapy, counseling, support groups are helpful in these times. And there are cheap options too. Some places like the Archdioces of various places offer counseling on a sliding scale based on your earnings.

Heavenly Father, help this person to invite people into their personal world especially from church. May they be encouraged to be brave and join a group at church and go to the Bible studies and possible lunches and coffee. Help this person to become the friend someone else might need also. Surround this person with your love and help them to be bold and take the steps needed and place the right people in their path to help him /her resolve the issues that need to be taken care of. May 2026 bring christian people in hus/her path. In Jesus Christ’s name I pray amen.
