What should you do when you think you married the wrong person?
What should you do when you think you married the wrong person?
First, remember that marriage is a covenant before God. Even when emotions waver or circumstances disappoint, God’s Word calls us to faithfulness. Ephesians 5:25 tells husbands to love their wives “as Christ loved the church,” and Titus 2:4 urges wives to love their husbands.
If you’re struggling in your marriage, take it to the Lord in prayer. Ask Him to soften your heart, give you wisdom, and rekindle love. Don’t isolate yourself. Seek counsel from a biblically grounded pastor or older Christian couple.
Even difficult marriages can become testimonies of God’s grace. You may not have married the “perfect match,” but you can still become the right spouse by choosing daily to honor your vows, forgive often, and love sacrificially.
Thankfully walking by the Spirit allows his work to be done in us to make us better people.

Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
