My husband has cancer and developed pulmonary fibrosis as a side effect of the chemo. He was admitted to the hospital last Wednesday and has gradually declined to the point of being placed on a ventilator. The doctor has no expectations that he will recover. We have decided to remove the ventilator and let his body and God lead the way. I am praying for a miracle but also the understanding that if he passes as expected it is God’s plan. I am also praying for the strength to get through this because I am heartbroken.
My heart aches reading your words. I want you to know I’m praying for you, for peace, strength, and the nearness of the Lord in this valley. Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” May you feel His presence moment by moment, and may His mercy carry you through whatever comes. You are not alone.
Thank you so much. God bless you.
i pray that god will strengthen you through this heartwrenching time in your life and that he will comfort your heart to accept his will.

God’s Peace and Grace be with you all in this time. And if God is Willing, may your husband recieve the healing that he needs in order to be restored to life.
When my father was in hospice, they provided a musician who would sing Gospel songs at the bedside. Even though he was in a coma, we never know what someone can percieve in that state. The sensation of touch, the sound of spoken words. They can be a comfort.
Thank you so much for your kind words of support. Unfortunately, he did pass yesterday 15 minutes after being placed on comfort care. He is with Jesus.
On the one hand I want to comfort you in your greif but on the other hand rejoice, imagine this; part of you now stands in the absolute infallible glory of the Son. To him pain and suffering are an alien concept now. Glory to the lamb. My heart is with you sister.
My prayers are with you and your husband, may God give you both strength comfort ![]()
pray that you will all be reminded that God values you and is with you. pray that the Holy Spirit brings you a peace that isn’t dependent on the circumstance but God’s presence.
