Ready to repent and come back to the Lord

Hello everyone my name is Kia and I can’t say I’m new to the body of Christ I have been walking with the Lord for quite some time now. I’m trying to come back to the Lord as so many distractions I have fell too such as school, children and just life! I’m ready to get to my Lord and keep him consistent in my life. I’m happy to be here with other believers.

@Nakiyaedwards1 . Good morning, Kia! Welcome! First, take a deep breath and give yourself grace. Raising children and balancing school while navigating life is no easy task, and God sees your heart and your hard work. He doesn’t hold your season of distraction against you. His hands are wide open, ready to welcome you back into close fellowship.

A verse that always brings comfort in seasons of returning is Luke 15:20:

“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.”

You don’t have to perform or “catch up” to be near to Him. Just take it one moment at a time. As long as there is breath in your lungs, it is not too late. We are so glad you’re here walking alongside us!

Good night Bless you @PeterC thank you for that Bible verse I really needed that. I am exhausted from a long day Jesus be with me. Some days I want to shut off the world. Sometimes I wish the world would stop just so that I can slow down. If you have any scripture that I can read please share it. Tomorrow when I wake up if he wills I will begin to read a couple of verses before leaving home. Amen

I’m so glad that verse brought you encouragement when you needed it most.

When the world feels fast and overwhelming, Jesus invites us to slow down in Him. In Matthew 11:28–30, Jesus says:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Remember Lamentations 3:22–23:

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

A couple more?

Isaiah 40:29, 31:

“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak… those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Also keep Philippians 4:5–7 close to your heart.

“Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Rest well, knowing He holds your tomorrow. Praying for peace and renewed strength for you now and always. Amen.

May I suggest that you check out the web sites of the churches in your area and start regularly attending one with your family.

It might help find a church if you look for one that has or is running the ’ christianityexplored course’

Either from the churches web site or through Find a course - Christianity Explored

you can input your town and it will find churches worth investigating.

Good night! Thank you for the scriptures. Today I was reading about David and the Sins he committed when he was the one responsible for getting Bathsheba’s husband killed only to commit adultery which came a baby who unfortunately passed away from sickness due to the sin David committed. This shows the truth of the people of God and how they sinned against theirselves and against God. God forgave David but he still suffered the consequences. I thank him for his grace and mercy over every bad choice I have ever made in my life. Which brought me to repentance. Amen
