Salvation only through Jesus or also through God only?

Your the one saying that Buddhist teaching is the same as Jesus’s teaching, so you should know what Buddha taught…
Buddhism is about one working to become part of the godhead. It is not about recieving salvation, but about earning it.

Christians do good works, follow the 10 commandments etc, not to earn salvation or merit, but as a gesture of love for Jesus.

There is no salvation in Buddhism. You keep using Christian religion to describe another culture’s religion. There is no earning. Stop letting the form of the parable destract you from what it is trying to teach you.

in Buddism, you learn the difference between what is real and delusion, seen and unseen- the hidden nature of things.

People get stuck on the material world- chasing after physical wealth, lusting after what they don’t have, hating others for percieved wrongs. Cheating and stealing to gain something that has no inherent worth except for what you give it. Meeting hate with hate in a cycle of doing harm that never stops.

But spirituality tries to show you that this way of living is to your detriment. You are chasing a carrot that you will never catch around a wheel that will never stop, leading you to run in circles to repeat thr same mistakes again and again from one life into the next. You are cranking the wheel of hell, maintaining the power that keeps this world held hostage. And every person you attack is just you with a different face.

Virtue is true wealth.
Turning the cheek to stop the cycle is wisdom.
And when you find that THAT Love you keep chasing after, that you project outside of yourself and long for, can actually reside inside you, you stop the insane lust that embodies your lack that pushes you to no end.

You are one with God, the world, and all life. You can not exist without any of it. It is all One thing, like all the cells in your body, engaged and interconnected and unseperatable. Without the spirit of God, you cannot exist.

You aren’t earning anything. You are claiming your inheritance. By letting go of the delusion that you are unloved, alone, and incomplete.

Christianity says the same things but in different ways. Different culture, different religion, same goal- being One with God. Ending suffering in the world. Healing the wound.

Buddhists believe that Nirvana is the ultimate goal of Buddhism. Buddhists define Nirvana as the state of ultimate happiness and inner peace that arises when they have eliminated all their cravings and desires.from:-10 Essential Beliefs of Buddhism - Buddhism Info

A state of ultimate happiness achieved by there actions/works.

In contrast Christianity gives a gift of faith and teaches that our obedience to Gods laws is an act of love.

It is an over simplified remodeling of ideas to fit the context, but okay.

Maybe for lunch I will get a sandwhich from taco bell. The crunchy corn buns are delicious.

All religions other than Christianity require there followers to work, to earn what ever reward is dangled in front of them.

Only Christianity says you can’t earn it so recieve if as a gift.

I already argued that based on your definition of work in terms of Buddhism, Christianity does require you to earn it. Based on how you used the work in earlier posts.

But I don’t count your definition as work. So…

Also, Buddhism is not focussed on salvation. It is focussed on enlightenment. And you aren’t doomed to an eternal hell from which you can never leave… But grapes and bannanas.

I quoted from a buddhist source about the buddhist eliminating desires. To eliminate something means doing something to what one is trying to remove.
That is a work.
If a buddhist achieves the required level of eliminated desires etc they achieve, they get something, again this is a reward for work.

In contrast Christians do not gain heaven because of there work/good deeds etc. Heaven is a free gift. Yes there are rewa4ds in heaven.

This is in total contrast to All non christian religions.

Thank you for your input. I release you now, go in peace. I am moving on to something else

Totally unnecessary, discussing Christianity and comparing it to mans attempts to find God is not stressful.

May I suggest you research just what other religions teach and just how much western society is based upon Christianity.

In Christ’s name, go in peace. I don’t agree with you, and you don’t agree with me. I am not looking to continue this conversation any further. So be free of the need to wage a war. It is not of the Holy Spirit to bicker and argue, pick fights or to pound incessantly a point that will never land. I am not trying to prove I am better than you., or anything else. It is my thoughts, my opinion on a post. I don’t need for you to agree. I know who I am.
