Scared of flying

I’m flying from USA to Germany next month and I’m really scared. I don’t like flying as it makes me nervous. I feel trapped in the planes and I worry about having a medical emergency or panic attack on board. How can I not stress about this?

How often do you have a medical emergency? Because if your doctor thinks you are likely to have one while flying to europe, he will tell you not to fly. So get a medical check up from your regular doctor, while doing that talk about having a panic attack and ask how to deal with it.

Research and try out other techniques for working through panic attacks.

Research how safe transatlantic flights are, find a therapist who can talk you through the issues involving your fear of flying.

Lok for museums with airliners that one can board and sit in the aircraft so you can become accustomed to the aircraft shape or spend hours on the New York metro, being stuck in a confined, crowded and noisy tube, if you can spend half a day on the metro you can spend the same time in more comfotable surroundings flying to europe.

I hear you. Flying without a friend or family member with me tends to make me nervous and anxious as well. I find praying simple breath prayers to be helpful. Maybe that will be helpful to you as well.

Praying you have a safe, wonderful trip!

No one should be nervous or anxious about flying. Are we not children of God? Do we walk in His will? Then we have nothing to fear. I’ve never had any fear of flying, but if I did, knowing what we know from the word, I’d invite the Lord to fly with me and before take off I’d cast spirits out of the plane in Jesus name. Sort of take control of that flight in Jesus name!

Fear not…Be not afraid, these are the most often repeated phrases in scripture.

I don’t like near nyc

I don’t have many emergencies. More just scared

I can only urge you to face you’re fears, how realistic are they?

A fear of a plane crash, given the stats on how safe flying is, is unrealistic, but a fear of confinded space, that is understandable and needs therapy so one can endure a transatlantic flight.

Do seek professional help.
