Supernatural Stories

I like listening to supernatural stories and testimonies. I found a real good channel on you tube with them. This man has a lot to say in 10 short minutes!

Oh, I have some (a lot) of supernatural stories that I will give testimony to in the thread. Not right now because it’s time to go douse my Fig tree with MiracleGro Lol. It is looking good!

If anyone else has a supernatural story to share, feel free! I love testimonies! It’s real day to day stuff that the Lord is doing through His people.

I love the people that say to me things like, “How do you believe in God? How do you believe in all that supernatural stuff in the Bible? How do you not feel silly believing in this invisible God that created the world in six days and sent His Son to die, raising Him from the dead and then promising to raise everyone who believes in His Son from the dead and we will all live forever?” “The supernatural stuff is that of Hollywood magic and fairytale imagination. If you do not want to be seen as, well, ignorant, you may want to keep that to yourself.”

I have news for you. The supernatural stuff? Yeah, it is real. You have to believe in the supernatural in one form or another, just for the simple fact that there are only two possibilities as to why we are here. God, or evolution. Either one takes a super strong belief in the supernatural. Don’t believe me?

I believe,

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1

I believe that there was nothing but God. God created all things. As a painter paints a masterpiece, God created all things, from the plants to the trees, from the birds and the fish in the seas. He created the sun, the moon, and the stars. He created everything near and far. Everywhere you look, you can clearly see. God even created you and me.

When I look at a painting, I might not always be able to identify the painter, but I can say with absolute certainty that an artist exists because the work is right there in front of me. Whether it’s a piece by Van Gogh, Da Vinci, or Matisse, the existence of the painting proves the existence of the creator. It’s the same way I feel when looking at the world around us; the complexity and beauty of creation. From the night sky to the sunrise, are clear evidence that there is a Master Artist behind it all.

Look around. Look at the night sky. Watch the Sunrise. Listen to the birds’ songs. Smell the flowers. Look at the person sitting next to you or walking by. There is an artist who created this. Just the mere fact that we exist testifies to the fact that there is a God.

Evolution? Just to exclude God, it then becomes a flawed, agenda-driven, man-made, junk science. But let’s go with it for a second. There is no God. There is nothing. Now we know clearly and with true science, and even simple mathematics, that nothing from nothing is nothing and nothing added to nothing is nothing. Evolution minus God is impossible.

However, as I said, we will go with it. So something came from nothing. Ok. Now, this first single-cell thing morphed into everything. Plants and trees, mosquitoes and men, hot-blooded and cold-blooded, all the eyes can see came out of that. We also know, due to our studies of DNA, that this is simply not possible either. It also does not explain the Sun, moons, and stars, and the vastness of space itself. But of course, believing in an intelligent artistic designer is completely preposterous.

Do I believe in the supernatural? Of course. God is. Jesus is; the Holy Spirit is. The Word is. How can we not?

Wow. Spooky stuff there. And the God of the Bible is not spooky. Yes, this guy may well have had a spiritual experience. The question remains, which spirit?

If you think it’s spooky stuff then that shows that you’ve been paying attention It’s very Twilight Zone in my experience. Not at all about the Sunday School stuff they taught me as a child.

You are of course talking about that video I posted, right? I believe that if you’re wondering which spirit it comes from then you may have a perspective problem?

That’s what I’ve seen, two camps of Christians. One came believes in the spooky stuff, the other camp does not believe in the spooky stuff. It’s biblical. Paul talked quite a bit about himself being taken up into the 3rd heaven. He talked about himself in the third person because he was trying not to come across as bragging. But there’s a lot of spooky stuff in scripture and when we gloss over it in non-understanding, it’s our perspective which is skewed.

Try tis next time you pray? Close your eyes and envision the face of Jesus and He is sitting on the throne. He reaches toward you and takes you into a huge embrace and He sits you in His lap. Now, get comfortable in His lap and allow yourself to dissolve into Him (!!). Now you are ready to pray from the roper perspective. From heaven to earth, not earth to heaven. I am in Christ and Christ is in me, right? It’s a perspective from victory and not from pleading misery..

Don’t let canned doubts left over from sunday school cause you to not believe even when God is spooky.

I have never seen anything supernatural yet. I have witnessed it and heard it with out seeing anything in a supernatural way. I have heard the audible voice of the Lord one time we had one conversation. I wasnt ready for it and it caught me off guard but even still now, it amazes me that when He spoke, I instantly recognized the voice as Jesus, literally. Another time I was hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit within me telling me turn right, turn left, rest here, go quickly, turn right and so forth. That happened one day I woke to the misfortune of a bad situation that wound up wuth three teams of cops searching for me to arrest me. I was walking alone and praying not to be arrested, I hadn’t done anything at all. Then after an hour or so of leading me around He said, ok they’ve stopped searching and left it’s safe to go home…(Praise the Lord!!)

And countless times His still small voice has spoken to me spirit or heart. So even though I have not “seen” anything with my eyes, I (personally) have proof that God IS real.

One time (actually many times) I was watching a teaching video on youtube and it was a spooky testimony and I asked the Lord while I watching it, Lord, is this true? And He quickened my spirit and I was flooded with a peace of understanding all through my being and now I knew, that is true what he said! I didn’t know what had happened, but I knew I had my answer. I likened it to being “pinged” in my spirit like a submarine? And only after a couple years I learned that according to scripture that is called being quickened in spirit. Very cool.

After God saved my life one day, I had so much gratitude to Him for it that I started pressing in ridiculously much and all I knew at that time is God is real. He saved me in such a way that it could have not been any other. There is no other answer. And my gratitude kept me in front of Him, thank you Lord. Just came to say thank you! And in my spare time I would jump into scripture and read His Word. I didn’t realize it but this takes me right back into His presence as soon as I pick it up and open it to read! So I was spending a lot of time with the Lord and out of the blue, He started answering my prayers and making a lot of good things happen to me. That only served to encourage my faith even more. Then the tests started, lol. I could go on and on, but when I made the choice to believe what His word says it was like the supernatural opened up to me in a small way as I understand it now. Lord help our Unbelief. I met an Angel one time, He came to my garage sale and bought a bunch of junk off of me for $2400 cash (the exact amount I needed!) The Angel was dressed as a man and I was restrained from realizing that he was an Angel until after he left…

Is anything too big for God? Nope.

I’m another one that Believes, Brother. I know some people prolly think I’m out of my mind, Lol. I AM the guy who hears voices ! Because I did choose to believe it. and immediately returned to the Lord in a very serious way. He didn’t part the Red Sea for me, but He didn’t need to. My life did not get easier but it did become verry interesting. It’s almost like I got led into the desert to be tested and, I’ve passed some tests and failed others.

The Lord has done so many things to help me and guide me supernaturally it almost seems like this is whole different thing than traditional Christianity. I guess that would make me Gnostic also? Lol.

I’ve taken to sharing me different testimonies to people and every once in awhile someone will call me on the carpet and try to explain to me some worldly explanation of what really happened! I guess you have to be there for some people, lol. I was there. My (LOL) favorite thing is sometimes even now my own carnal mind will try to get me doubt, nahh, this is prolly what really happened and your just believing it but it aint true da da da. My carnal man and soul was present for these things too, He saw them the same as I did. How can my carnal mind not believe too? Aha, so scripture is true, the carnal man can not receive the things of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:14,Romans 8:5-10).

So I think this is the disconnect between the two camps of Christianity? Many are trying to understand it logically, and it just don’t work that way. People can make doctrines about why I am a deceived one dadada…because Miracles stopped and God don’t do those things anymore. And you can’t reach for it with your intellect, it is done spiritually.

Proverbs 3: 5-6

**5 **Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

**6 **In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths…/KJV

So we as believers need to reach for this spiritually, that is, from His presence. Or rather our presence in front of Him. When we read His Word. When we pray. Funny how the key to it all, always seems to come back to these two things as a base. He told us in scripture to do these things. The time has come to worship Him in spirit and in truth

John 4:23-24

**23 **But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

**24 **God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.…/KJV

So we have to reach for it spiritually. We get to learn about Him in His Word when we read it. We get to learn who He is through our prayers. So read more pray more.

I remember one of the first Christian forums I signed onto back when I became a babe in Christ and I was continually attacked from another Christian(?) for always saying the same thing, read His Word, Pray to Him, and he would say it is unwelcome advice and to stop it. (!!) But God was already showing me that being in His presence a lot presents us to the supernatural but we have to listen and believe. So read more, pray more, and Believe more. Don’t put God into a box people!

It’s refreshing to me to find someone like you, Peter, who know the truth of what we speak. Yes it’s spooky, it’s twilight zone, and it’s rea, and scriptural.

I did say that I’d give a supernatural story of my own and I was busy yesterday but I have some time right now. I touched on a couple of them but I should tell some complete.

There was the time that I (prayed for help) when me and my son were on our way to a job. He had active warrants for unpaid tickets.

This must’ve been 2011 or so? My accident that left a thorn in my back was in 2009 so I was still mostly a babe in Christ. After my accident in 2009 my kids came and got me in ohio in 2010 to take me back to Colorado. I had moved to Ohio after my divorce with the thought business was slowing down and Columbus had over two million population so business prospects were better there that in Colorado Springs. So I moved first and let my sons run the business while I went to Ohio and arranged all of the local licensing and so forth to go into business there. It was going ok there until one day I was on my way to a job for a man, he wanted to try me out and see my work, but I had an epileptic seizure at the wheel of my work truck doing 70 on the highway and rolled it three times. That’s when God saved my life, And for some reason, my kids started getting real busy with the business. And if there is anyone who has ever been self employed here, then you know very well that there is (at least) 2 1/2 hours of phone time in the morning first thing. They were busy and needed to get out the door earlier to go do the work. And they heard accident and suggested to come get me and we all live together and I can run the phones even if I am recovering from the accident. I can lay in bed and handle phone calls, so they came and got me in Ohio and took me back to Colorado Springs and boy oh boy they were very busy, they has picked up a new builder and Service was also picking up. It worked out so good at first but problems arise, like builder deadlines and stuff like that. When you contract to install a furnace and ductwork in a new home being built, we are the first ones on the jobsite before the other trades, and everyone is always anxious to do their own work, so we had to do it with no delays because the plumber is chomping at the bit to get in. Thus the reason for deadlines, and back charges for them if the deadline is exceeded! So I had to get out of bed and go help sometimes, the light part of the job while the sons did the heavy part. The accident took a lot of wind out of my sails. Gone are days of huming the old water heater up the basement stairs by myself. I used to do it before the accident, but WH installs were ow 2 man jobs for me!

And me and my son is headed to a job to replace a WH. With a son that has active warrants, he’s driving, misses his turn and goes around the block and turned right in front of a Cop who falls in behind us and the red & blues light us up. My son says, Oh no, I’m going to jail for those tickets I didnt pay…and I know how Colorado Springs police are militant and never give anyone a break on anything, so I see that I will be doing this water heater installation by myself? No way! I can’t do it. So I said, No son, I refuse to let you get arrested today! And I immediately went into prayer, Lord let my son go free, I need him! Then my son says, no dad, they sent me a letter saying a warrant has been issued for me because I didn’t pay. I know they’ll find it,And I said No son, it’s a done deal, I alredy prayed about it, it’s Done!

He didn’t scoff at me but he didn’t believe me either. He started emptying his pockets so he had less to go to jail with. The Cop walks up about then and says hey fellahs, I noticed that your windshield is cracked, can I see your license and insurance and so forth? And my son gives me a glance that almost says, bye Dad…! We give him our documents and the cop says I’ll be right back. So my son tries to convince me that he is going to be arrested and this real, sorry. And I refused to believe that. And I affirmed it with my mouth and said no you are not, the Lord is good and will help us!

And here comes the cop again. He walks up to the window and while he is handing back the insurance and ID stuff he says, Deen, I see you have bench warrants for unpaid tickets…and he turns around and looks at me as if to say, told you so…but the Cop keeps talking and says, but I can see thatyou guys are on your way to work, and I respect that so I am not going to arrest you on this, if you promise to get it taken care of soon…

And that was rush for me! C. Springs cops don’t give breaks! I know I’ve been living there for about 30 years, and had a lead foot so lots of speeding tickets lol.And I was worried sitting in the truck. I didn’t know if God would answer my prayer?!! And suddenly he did! Praise the Lord for Him softening that Cops heart to let him go! So my son promised the cop to get it taken care of and paid asap and the Cop walks away to his cruiser…And my Son, he turns around and looks at me like that was weird! And he said, Wow, there really IS something to all this God stuff that you talk, isn’t there?! (PTL!!!)

Some good seeds planted there in my son.

I will share one. I was traveling in a car with a friend, and we came across one of those Bible gift shops. We went in and looked around, mostly for the AC, saw nothing that really piqued our interest, so we left. My friend then shared with me that she prayed and was not sure. I asked what she meant, and she said, “How do I know?” I just said, “Ask Him.”

So we walked to the car, and guess what? The car would not start. I tried a few times, to the point I believe I most likely flooded it. So we decided to go back in until it settled down. Again, the AC. So we walked in, and she froze. I was like, “What happened. What are you looking at?”

She slowly lifted her hand to point. I looked up, and there was her name, First and last, spelled exactly the way she does, hanging on the wall. They were those name plates, you know, like Peter meaning rock, that sort of thing. But there was her full name. On the wall.

I asked the store owner, where did you get those? He said, “Oh, those, yeah, I do not have any of those. These were a sample that a company sent me to see if I wanted to buy them. I thought they looked cool, so I put them up. But they are not really for sale.”

Needless to say, my friend’s question was answered, and she ended up being baptized soon after. This experience and a few others are all I need to know that the Supernatural is real. God still actively works in His children’s lives, and next to our relationship with Him, nothing else really matters.

Oh, and without a thought, we left, and the car started with no problem, and off we went.

I knew this was coming, lol. That’s a great testimony and God’s fingerprints are all over it! That sounds like something the Lord would do. Many may quickly be discouraged in belief of such a testimony as just a coincidence…I’ve already figured out that there is no such thing as a co-incidence on this planet. They are all God-incidences.
