Daily and nightly scripture has been a comfort. I belueve jesus is speaking to me through scpriture. I recently was terminated from my job, i have no ideal whats going to happen to me with no income, but for some reason i can still smile, hope, and know i can trust jesus to guide ny foot steps. I still have bad days of downs. Thank you Jesus and bless crosswalk.

Let me tell you a story. A man has a job that barely pays the bills. He becomes saved and hears how God will take care of him. So he prays,
“God, I’m new to all this. But some have pointed me to Matthew 6:25-34, where it says I should not worry. It says something like you feed the birds and clothe the grass, or something, and that you will take care of me if I seek you. Well, this is me seeking you. Please God, give me a promotion or a raise so I can finally make it without worrying.”
He goes into work that very next day to a pink slip. He was let go. Angry and scared, he started to yell at God.
“THIS?!?!? This is how you take care of your children? I asked you for a raise or promotion. I get fired? I understand the job was not paying all my bills, but now I have nothing. I guess I should not believe what others say or even what your Word says. How dare you do this to me.”
God waited until he was done, then said, “Are you done?”
“Yeah, I’m done. More ways than one. Thanks for nothing, God.”
God responded. “Let me ask you this. How can you get a better job until you lose the one you got?”
See, we may not see it. We may not understand it. But God does. Romans 8:28 says
" And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."
Remember,
“Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:31-33
