Perfect example. Thank you.
The plain reading of the bible is that All men are descended from Adam, because All men die and all men need salvation.
If there were men living before Adam they would not be affected by Adams sin and so die or need salvation.
It is only through Adams decendants that die and need salvation,
As for proof, who ever makes a claim has to provide evidence.
The plain reading is correct. As was pointed out, the Bible follows genealogical descent, not genetic descent. Again, S. Joshua Swamidass proves in his book that by the time of Christ all men would have been descended from Adam regardless of a pre-Adamic population. That doesnât prove or disprove anything. For additional proof, ask Cainâs wife.
Hi,
Finally we get to Cain and Abelâ wives.
Where did they come from?
Are they the brothersâ sisters?
Cause thatâs pretty messed up in and of itself.
Back on track, the Aboriginal history goes back up to 65,000 years BC.
India has history that goes back over 30,000 years BC.
(OK, letâs cut some slack for the obvious errors in counting time.
They all figured out that a lunar cycle was about a month.
And they could tell the difference between winter and summer.
So I dare say they knew the seasons.
They would then have a 30 day month.
That makes them only 5.25 days off a year.
Thatâs pretty good.
Now my rant being over, on with my question)
This is what prompted my question.
There are known civilizations that date back farther than Adam.
If so, is Adam just the first man in this story of Jesus?
Or is he the first man overall?
Because there is a lot of unexplained artifacts that suggest Adam was not the first man.
Just so everyone knows, I am a believer.
I believe the Word of God 100%.
But I canât explain Stonehenge.
I would like to.
Blessings
Romans5:6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.
That is every human.
Romans5:12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinnedâ
This is very clear All suffer death because of Adam.
There is no biblical evidence for a pre adam race.
Genesis2:8 Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed.
One principle of biblical interpretation that has stood the test of the Scriptures is that we must not base our interpretation on what the Bible doesnât say. Appealing the Bibleâs silence means nothing.
