I understand what you are saying. I just want to clarify that I am standing neutral for a reason. This is not about who is right or wrong. Something else is going on here.
If you are a spiritual person and believe in an unseen reality where angels and demons reside, I am trying to express to you that something else is happening here beyond mere appearance.
Try to seperate yourself from the stimuli that you want to respond to.
And then take a cold hard look at the world. No emotions, just look at what is going on. Register it. Let the truth of it sink in.
If you have been in this world for 40 or more years, you have witnessed a decline in the capacity of how easily people relate to one another. People use to make room to allow others to disagree and still exist and share space with them. Sure, there were some taboo subjects here and there that people did not talk about except in closed circles, but people got along.
Something has effected the brains of people so they are caught up in some form of infinite loop trap.
If you start arguing, you will never stop arguing. Because no one will relent. You canât win a war against an opinion. The more you force your perspective, no matter how true, the more they will force theirs. They have aligned completely with the opinion, as if it were a living construct.
The only way to wipe out the opinion is to wipe out everyone who holds it. Which is murder. And impossible. Like weeds, you will always miss a strand.
The only Christian recourse then is to back away from the conflict and not feed the fire. Let the fire burn itself out. Then when people are tired of living and loving in crazy town, they will come home for dinner. If they survive it. But in the mean time, save those who do listen to reason. And back away from the fire.
When we choose to disregard Wisdom and set up false idols, which are ignorant and lead astray, we learn the hard way the wage of folly.
That is the fate of this generation. Unless they turn back toward Wisdom. Or steer clear of folly.
Have you ever seen that old movie, Something Wicked This Way Comes?
In the movie, there is a devil offering people their greatest hopes and dreams. They get lured in only to have their hopes and dreams twisted and turned against them.
The only ones who survive are those who turn from temptation. Those who see through the devilâs gift. But it takes a lot to turn away fron a hope or a dream, or a desire. That deep felt longing for fulfillment that only God can truly give you.
That is what makes it so easy for people to be ensnared. To be so close, only to give it up? It truly hurts to say, NO, and turn back. While not knowing hell is just another foot away. Where the devil will feed on the misery and suffering from the fallout.
You should watch it if you havenât. Or read the book. Ray Bradbury was a wise man.
