What do you think of the US political environment right now? What should we do as Christians ?
Satan sets the course of the world (Eph 2":2). One can look at current events and try to guess at his strategy. We are told that we are not unaware of his tactics (2Cor 2:11).
One might see in Trump someone who has been used to lure conservatives into worldly entanglement while at the same time used to inflame liberals to previously unreached levels of hatred. This could be a useful tactic to fire up those left behind in the rapture to enthusiastically kill those who become Christian.
“All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.” Hebrews 11:13-16
I think as Christians we should do what we’ve always done. Keep our eyes on Jesus and share His word.

I think politics in the US have always been ugly. I think we just see it more now because of all the types of media everywhere we look.

It’s certainly a mess and extremely contentious politically, but I don’t think it’s necessarily worse than any other time in history, and it’s honestly not surprising. Human nature has always been human nature. As redeemed Christians, I think some of the best things to do are to pray and not enter into the rage on either side of the aisle.
