I’m more into romantic books woven with tragedy. I love stories that stay with you long after you finish them.
Honestly, I’d recommend you guys read Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier, Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë, and The English Patient by Michael Ondaatje.
I like Christian mysteries by Terri Blackstock and Dee Henderson. I also like Christian novels by Karen Kingsbury.
Back when I read fiction, I loved SciFi, Fantasy, and Comedy.
Some of my favorite books were:
The Witches Wombat was a fun story about a fantasy world on the brink of bankruptcy. Which leads a specific witch and her wombat being called to take on the role of tour guides for a group of humans who think they are visiting a theme park or a virtual world.
Lamb of God- a fantasy retelling of the Gospel from the perspective of Jesus’ childhood friend who “sets the record straight.”
The Robotech Saga, a sci fi Soap Opera that was based on 3 Japanese Animes that were intertwined to form one multigeneration cartoon for kids way back in the 80s. When the show was cancelled, an author was commisioned to put the whole thing in book form and to finish the Saga. It is about the love dramas of a group of mecha pilots and their mission to keep Earth safe from an alien threat that neither feels emotions or knows love, the mystery of a power source harvested from plants, and the equally mysterious alien scientist who betrays his own people by sending a highly advanced alien ship filled with said power source to Earth which kicks the whole thing off.
Fun stuff
